Folks, it is with a heavy heart that I have to tell you that (for a while) I am leaving what I can say has been the truly wonderfull experience of owning an Aston Martin. Due to unforseen circumstances & sensible head the AM V8V has now been sold and for the time being I will be joining the lurker brigade on the AM forum. Be sure that it will only be a matter of time (12 month target set) when I will be back,"bigger, better, stronger, faster".

That's a shame. But on the upside, great memories to keep you smiling and also think about all the fun of the test drives for the next one...

If I could ask: What were your favourite moments/drives in yours?

All the best.

Hmmmm scratchchin

Having family near Aberdeen, it always concerns me when oil prices start to impact directly on people's lives.

Good luck to you and your family, Eck smile

If I could ask: What were your favourite moments/drives in yours?

where to begin with favourite moments.....

The day I collected the car from Buckinghamshire then drove 700 miles North to Aberdeen with my son as co-driver.
The above trip returning 30MPG - YES it can be done but it takes 600 miles or so!!
The morning after i arrived home and i stood in the utility room looking at "Anne" parked in MY garage with a grin from ear to ear.
The first time i heard the exhaust note above 4000rpm.
After 4 months of driving finally learning that you drive a Sport Shift in Sport Mode & with the paddles ALL the time.
The day a guy walked past me as i went into a petrol station and all he said was "nice car mate, well done"
The very nice copper who pulled me over on the way to Cameron House for having no MOT just before Xmas 2013 when it ran out in September, then gave me his mobile number in case i had any bother on the way home the next day.
Being the coolest dad in my sons year at primary school because i had an Aston Martin.
The smiles on too many peoples faces to mention when they got there first run as a passenger in an AM.
The girlie scream my twin brother made the day i let him have a shot and he floored it.
The numerous comments i had about how lovely looking a car it is.
The (one and only) day that my wife drove it on her own and gave it some beans.
and last but probably most favourite is basically every single mile of the 7300 i drove in the 20 months of ownership.

for the Drives - no brainer really;

Highland Hoon 2014 with some great folk on the best roads in the country, bar none!!

Yes indeed, sadly the low oil price proved to be fatal for my engineering contract and after 7.5 years in the Oil industry it came to a rather abrupt end.
Still it gives me time now to polish the Aston until another contract comes my way

Ian, thanks already trying to make up my mind between a newer V8VS or an older V12V. Can't let Scotty be the only one again!!!
