So in picture Twin plate organic clutch, custom lightweight flywheel, new clutch release bearing and custom release bearing spacer. which as mentioned above is the 2800+ vat gets you, so 2500+ vat for clutch and flywheel I've been told that its 300 + vat for 08 onward bearings and 275 + vat for before then... Hope this is helpful to those who are interested.
Selling sintered clutches to most folks is a bit tricky, since they tend (not always, but often) to have a binary nature - not easy to slip the clutch tends to be more ON or OFF...

I do find the excitement around this thread very amusing given the subject has been covered numerous times on this forum and a quick search throws up everything one would need to know
I agree that it's been covered many times, but I personally find the search function useless, frustrating and invariably can't find bugger all of any relevance AMDBSNick said:

Not really, to be honest I've often found, particularly with BR, that the prices and parts/service included seem to be rarely actually fully explained and costed, im not sure why but people seem very reluctant to publicise their prices. Not a dig to anyone, just an observation. This thus far seems a very transparent account of a service provided, and hopefully we shall get some impartial review and opinion of the service.
Competition is good.

I note yesterday it took you under 4 hours to come to your decision. Very thorough research I must say. Oh and I get my excitement from driving an Aston with the correct number of cylinders
Why do you have to be so negative Nick? Genuine question, not meant in a facetious or argumentative manner, if you don't care for DA or v8 clutch issues, just ignore the thread, theres plenty of others that might interest you.Edited by gibbon on Wednesday 15th April 11:31

Really Big Ry It seems to me very strange that every time DAE get a clutch customer a thread appears with their name in the title. Perhaps its me

Alright, fair cop.......that was a bad example on this occasion It seems to me very strange that every time DAE get a clutch customer a thread appears with their name in the title. Perhaps its me
I'm curious now though as to why you 'appear' to have a downer on DA. What difference does it make if people are posting new threads of their own experience, I thought that was what a forum was all about.
If you didn't want that then this forum would be a very dull place, as I suspect a good 80%+ of all posts are questions which have been answered by somebody else before. Also, some previous posts are very old so I guess some people would just like a fresh view.

The reason i titled it that is that i found a lot on here about BR flywheel and twin plate but not as much about DAE. When i started the thread i hadn't spoken to DAE or anyone else as i still had hope (not a lot of it)that i didnt need a clutch. I have no loyalties to DAE or any other outfit i'm just a normal chap who thought it would be useful to others to share.

I respect what both DAE and BR do but with more openess about pricing on DAE clutch products (do people sign a confidentiality statement when they leave the BR workshop?) and the fact that when i emailed BR about 200 Cel cats and clutches i heard nothing from them then its threads like this that will probably help me use DAE than BR.
And lack of replies from BR has been raised a few times.
And i could ring but i pay for my phone calls from Afghanistan so prefer to be a cheap arse and use email.
