DBS wheel balancing

No one has discussed using old fashioned lasers to align. The alignment that has been discussed here has all be been based on modern Hawkeye or Beissbarth machines....
No one has denied that 4 wheel alignments is excellent practice either.
My issue has come in at a standard 4 wheel alignment back to factory settings costing £350 from COG when WIM charged £80.
Ah Sump I've just realised you're the one who reckons a service takes a couple of hours No one has denied that 4 wheel alignments is excellent practice either.

Well they certainly managed to carry out 90% of the workshop manuals DB9 10k checklist in 45 minutes when I took it in for some coding work The only thing left was the oil change which probably takes the remaining 5 hours mikey k said:
Not comparing eggs with eggs as I pointed out!
What extra work does he actually do? Sump said:

I was quoted £222 not £80 for 4 wheel alignment and this was for something that took 'just over an hour'. I think COG's quote started with a 4 but was up to a half day job. I haven't done it yet as I baulked a bit at the cost v value and the Aston drives and tracks superbly + tyre wear is even.I'm used to paying less than half of that for my BMW on a Laser Hunter Whatchamacallit. I understand the Aston has a few more covers and panels though.
The BMW's top speed is 14mph less than the Aston - both are cars
The thick plottens? Hmmm?
I'm gonna stick mine on the ramp and see what plates we are dealing with here.
But Ken do note we may be getting a bit muddled here. I haven't done the alignment yet on the DB9.
My post was regarding my 996 CarreraS. I paid £80 for that and was quoted £350 by COG going to factory settings.

All sounds odd. I usually get quoted worst case which is all wheels need adjustment. The less work actually needed the less they actually charge. If you have a wonky dog like my 6 was it needed the works. If just one wheel is out, should be less. The amount its out doesn't matter - it either is or isn't.
What do you reckon?

Yes I can confirm we still use the Hunter Hawkeye alignment machine we don’t have black weights though unfortunately, the price for wheel balancing is £6.95 per wheel and for the alignment it would be from £29.95 - £74.95 depending on how many angles/axles need adjusting. We can book this in at your convenience needing the car for about 1.5 hours.
Kind regards,
