Would the stabilisers fit a V8V?
The Virage is a very very fast and capable car car driven by a very very slow driver wink

But I am getting (a bit) faster!

To any who haven't been, but thinking of coming - it's as leisurely and pleasurable a day out as you could wish. Or it's quick!

But it's all your choice. Plus there is no hanky panky on the track...very civilised. Except for the Audi. And the Cobras. Or the DBRs. Or the Vantages with the rude but very nice exhausts. biggrin

Just really nice.

I sold the track car to upgrade to the Rapide. Arghhh! Sounds like a jolly gentleman's outing for a two ton super GT?!

I hear the Rapide is a stonking drivers car and I am sure you'd have fun exploring it's abilities ... And would be great to meet up and compare our hydrophobic waxes :-)

I think you would shock a few people, and yourself, with just how quickly a Rapide can get around Goodwood! Along with Philip Island, Goodwood suits the Rapide perfectly....

Hi there,

I need to work out a few details for dates around this event but would like to be counted in please.
We may have a car lodging down that part of the world for an event after Goodwood Revival, so it could work out well.

Anyone know of any Aston-friendly hotels in the area (i.e. secure parking with very wide spaces (got to avoid getting the doors marked)!).

I've made an inquiry to the hotel situation down there, in case no one else comes up with suggestions.

With your factory connections Mr. roughrider, are you able to tell us, why there will be no AM On-Track events this year. I was hoping to drive the Spa-Francorchamps circuit.

Possibly the reason might be spelt - 'm o n e y'.

I wish i knew, as i've been asked quite a few times now. I don't think its a financial issue, as i believe the track days paid for themselves. Seems Bob is doing an admirable job of filling the void though! How about Spa next year Bob? Track hire is less than you would expect.........

I am more than willing to organise the Track Days Paul,,Spa would be on my list for sure. Back to the here and now, the take up for Goodwood hasn't yet 'taken off' as I thought it might, we'll see how it goes over the next couple of weeks. In my limited experience (3 Track Days) £350 per car is at the upper limit for most private guys here on the forum. The more popular the circuit, the fewer days available and the more expensive they are, plus, we do need 105db which isn't easy to find. Patience and good humour will win the day.

Bob, I thought you'd be swamped with requests from owners who fancy a day in the sun at one of the most iconic courses in Blighty.

C'mon lads and lasses - you know you want to smile

This wouldn't be appropriate for my Aston, although I did have a couple of hours on track at Monza a few years ago wink Regards price; the TVR people do Goodwood 105db for £250/day, 20 cars, else I'd have been tempted to bring the Griff along. smile

No idea when the TVR boys hold their day but I do know the rates get cheaper during the winter months,,,short cold days, not very appealing. Hope you'll join us RichB. driving
