V8V Engine Number location

I've been looking around my engine block to try find the engine number but I just can't see it. Can anyone tell me where I can find it?

Left hand side of block, towards the rear.

I still can't see it. Is it suppose to be easily visible or do I have to dismantle any engine parts?

Left hand side? is this passenger or driver side of the engine?

I'm trying the register the car in Australia ATM and they won't pass it unless I can show them the engine number. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
