I'd like to be optimistic, but my experience with asthma tells me this is a very very bad idea. I am sure you'll get a high mileage car with an not for little money, but had no idea how much it actually cost to keep a db9 in very good order. I purchase a MY2006 car at 38k miles 2 years ago. It looked inaccurate and drive nice enough in the very limited test drive. In the last 18 months I have had over £20k of receipted warranty claims on everything from lights, suspension, radiator, paint, doors, satnav, engine gaskets, windscreen. The manager of my local stratstone dealer says I'm their most precious customer and that I must have the most highly maintained db9 in the country, but I would not buy another Aston. I still can't bring myself to sell mine, but I don't think I could buy another
+1. Your's the car everyone wants to buy.

Even though I don't run a DB9 (still looking for one I like), my current 996T had been on the 10-year extended warranty by Porsche and everything which needed doing was done by the previous owner. Very long-term annual servicing and repair invoiced was £3,500 a year (inclusive of warranty cost plus wear and tear items and servicing). I bought it just outside the warranty period at a low price because of its 90k mileage. While it costs similar to run as my previous 996T at c.£3,000 a year (12k miles per year), it is mechanically perfect. In additional, the current running costs is being offset by capital appreciation (near £25k vs. £18k purchase price).

Good on you. I'm sure you won't regret it a minute.

I dislike those type of people who's first question about your car is "how many miles has it done?". So many people get hung up on it.

Bearing in mind the cheapest example of a DB9 Volante on the AM website is £23k north of what you paid, even if you spent £10K on replacing worn components, you've still had a result. I think we'd all appreciate you hanging around and giving us updates during your time with the car.

And I'm also curious what youre going to get for it at the other end.

Enjoy it.

Fantastic drive home yesterday from picking it up but been at sons football tournament all day so not used today.

I'll go through the mountain of invoices this week & list what the car has had over the years so you can see what to expect with high mileage?

Let's see if anyone can guess how many sets of front brake pads it has had? 1 guess each only.

Tricky as it all depends on the driver! I'm on 60,000 miles for the fronts on my 535d with at least 20k left - but then I hate wasting fuel by turning it into dust and heat! I'll go four sets as these V12 engines brake quite well on overun liftoff.
