That's a given chaps.
However my topic was posted in order to canvas opinions,as well as that I'm not certain on whether I want to have my wheels painted.......still uncertain.
There have been some helpful tips on variations so for me it's been a useful exercise.
You got rid of the chav plate... Don't go backwards and put black wheels on!

Why don't you get the wheels on one side of your car painted black, and leave the other side as is. Then you could approach the vehicle from whatever side takes your fancy at any particular moment. When you're driving it you can't see the wheels anyway. Unless you were driving down a narrow street with reflective shop windows on both sides. Then it would be like driving two Astons simultaneously.

I think I might be onto something.....who's in?
That's a brilliant idea,a bit of lateral thinking going on here.
What about having the wheels each a different colour.
That would give me even more choice.
Monday ...approach car from the front driver side....
Tuesday...approach car from rear passenger side....etc.etc.
Got me thinking now about the furry dice I've got hanging off the rear view mirror......hmmm,wonder if they come in different colours.

And if you got bored with a particular colour on a certain corner, you could rotate them. A bit.

I've moved on from furry dice. I now have an air fresehener in the shape of a dinosaur.

I used your brilliant suggestion a few years ago, but not just on the wheels.

One of my daily drivers was approaching the end of life, and the paintwork on one side was fairly poor.

A few Matt black aerosols soon had the nearside and bonnet painted.
When standing by the nearside front, the car looked completely black.
From the offside rear, the car appeared completely blue.

DVLA were correctly informed of the colour change as blue / black. Well they don't ask which bit.

I couldn't wait for the witnesses to argue (as the old joke goes), but there was never an accident, so no arguments ever happened. - smile

Mine are 'Anthracite' not black and look fine with the black grille and additional sideskirts.

I think black or darker wheels only really suit the car if there is no chrome. So window surrounds, side strakes, mesh, etc need to be dark excluding the grill, can be either light or dark

I do like the black wheels with matching black grills, but maybe its just me....(ASBO on its way i'm sure)

oh and before you ask, it actually looks better in the flesh (the picture doesn't really do it justice) (when shall I get my coat?)

Your car looks great and very much what I'm hoping to achieve with my own black Vantage.
Did you have the window trims painted, or are they wrapped?
Also, which wheels are those please?

The window surround are wrapped matte black.

The wheels are 20" Judd T202's concave.

Thanks Will.

I have a couple of quotes to have the window surrounds wrapped satin black, it's amazing the difference in price. Both places were recommended, one quoted £350 and the other £180. The only reason I haven't had it done yet was that they're both quite far away and needed to keep the car for a full day... and I don't like being without it!

Appreciated,
Johnny

All personal choice I know but my preference is the more classic approach as I think the gloss black behind the Diamond cut face really brings out a contrast
in the original V12 DT's.

Norm's also added a bit if contrast by way of Carbon Fibre wheel centre's that imo add to the theme and blend well with the already heavy Carbon Fibre work on the V12S.

Its your car though Steven so if you fancy a change, which we all fancy from time to time go for it as its not going to be an irreversible change if you get fed up of it….smile

northernmedia, where did you get the front splitter from, I have seen it advertise a few places. Wanted to ask what the quality is like, good fitment, etc
