Forgot to ask mate, is it front or rear? Any ramifications for geo etc? Could this explain the Works price confused
Passenger rear........I don't think Works factored any of that in, it was purely a tyre replacement.

Jesus......hope I don't have to go through any geo etc......can do without another shafting at the moment !

Was thinking about an engine replacement just to be on the safe side........

For all of you who are familiar with the film Gone in 60 Seconds.......I have decided to christen the SP10 "Eleanor", as she's turning into my nemesis I think.

So to the world.....here's "Eleanor"......

Does the steering wheel turn or is it fixed in position ? After all, it's a bit too dangerous to attempt anything as reckless as a corner isn't it ?

Saying that, I bet in a straight line it'll be a LOT of fun !

smile you need to do a little researchsmile..... The new 2015 Mustang has all new independent rear suspension.. Reviews of the handling characteristics are extremely positive, and in some tests it's lapped faster than BMW M3, and other highly regarded cars....p

Besides, it can't be any worse than a 23 year old 445 bhp car made in a shed in Blackpool... hehe

I don't buy the 'volume' excuse. These are not high volume tyres for Kwik Fit or anyone. They are exotic rare sizes! I would imagine a dealer could sell more given that the vehicles these fit is all that they see - if the price was right!

Ohh and please don't assume that an Aston main dealer wont absolutely mangle your rim or leave it covered with fitting soapfrownfrownfrownfrown

Is it true that many of the lower cost tyre vendors supply relatively 'old' stock? If so does that matter at all and how would you know?
This is true and you would know by the DOT code on the side of the tyre.
How old is too old is another question i dont have the answer to
You could buy a 3 yr old tyre and do low mileage and end up with a 6 or 7 yesr old one.
+1. Tyre Leader .co.uk has different pricing for the same tyre but different DOT. Generally the limit of tyre age I would use up to is 5-7 years.

I have recently bought Michelin Pilot Cup on my 996T and the rears are only £120 each but they are DOT 4712 (47th week of 2012). OK for me as my 996 does c. 12k a year, and even alternating between winters and summers, I would definitely use the tyre up by 2017/2018.
