When I had a Locktons policy on my V8V, they charged me quite a considerable premium for extending my 5k allowance.

To be fair I was ready for a fight as I think £250 had been mentioned last year which is clearly horrendously disproportionate pro rate for any extra risk. I reminded them that renewal decisions were being made in a month... I wont even look elsewhere - so it worked in their favour.
