We've just returned from a Highland tour that covered 2020 miles through the Northumbrian borders and up as far as we could go with out getting our feet wet……...thumbup

The Wester Ross loop conquered again,Malaig,Skye,Applecross all ticked off as Norman stormed North from coast to coast taking all in his stride….driving

Norman performed well, infact better than expected with a combined trip average of bang on 24 to the gallon……(taken from the onboard computer reading, would it dare give duff information scratchchin)

In comparison to my previous V8 S Roadster the V12 S out did it in every respect with the ease of drive delivered from the extra torque on tap,the ASM 3 again totally imo out
performed the 2nd series as fitted in the V8.

All in all a very satisfying performance from the the little red chap and to show what he's been up to I thought I'd share some pictures with you,be warned there's a few so sorry if I've over done it.

Bamburgh Castle.

Chillingham Castle……..Britian's most haunted Castle………..saw bugger all but creepily some of the better Chillingham pictures won't load up……….spooky!!!!.

Eilean Donan Castle.

Eilean Donan Castle from the other side of the Bridge………………..great place to get your snap, just across the bridge and turn left into the car park.
The tea place closed currently so there's on tourists to get in the way or spoil the view.

The road back from Skye with the Skye Bridge in the back ground.

The road to Portree,Isle of Skye.

Roaming in the gloamin………Skye.

Storm a brewing, time to think about not getting wet.

Norman spies on RAF Kinloss and finds a NIMROD……..?.

Norman shows off his up hill reversing skills to scale the heights to steal this up close and personal "as close I could get pic with a certain post".

The Black Isle just north east of Inverness.

Storm clouds gather on Glen Shee.

I think thats enough for this evening to show that Norman is strutting his stuff up and down the country, all of course before he conquers Europe and beyond.

Hope you like them and sorry again if I got a bit carried away……..biggrin

Great pictures Ed. Glad you had a good trip and found the car lived up to expectations! Very impressed with the 24mpg, the best I have had so far is only 20 and I don't have the sport button on all the time.

Not often I disagree with you!
But you're wrong its perfect smile
Roof goes up quick enough and a hat soon sorts the cold

Ed did you see the dotted line that says "Aston Roadsters this way"?
All of those where on our last trip hehe
Including Kinloss where I went to school (well Forres)
Looking forward to our trip up there in a few weeks in Johnny.

Most people think soft tops are for soft-in-the-head people but you're a hardy bunch and I know it to be a fact that your wife uses a Stanley blade as a toothpick. She makes Quinny look a bigger nonce than he is yes

I wondered about all the Mikey was here scratchings every where we went………..smile

The Lighthouse looks a great place to stay, her in doors is already on to that one thanks.

We like using the Loch Ness area as a base camp to shoot here, there and everywhere……….driving

For others not so clued up on the Highlands and all it's great driving you might want to spare a few minutes and visit,

The freshly promoted 500 mile outer loop takes in the best of the best and is well worth the challenge………….enjoy.

Nice car and pics Ed.
I agree with you about a Volante.
I find the easy and swift movement of the roof of my Volante a pleasure to use which encourages me to go topless.
Only problem with my DB9V for touring is the lack of boot space.

Great photo's Ed. Car just run in now, though I bet you glad you not up there now. Gales and snow covered Glencoe looking at the web. Bring on Norm's next adventure.
