Just wondered if any of you have bought stuff from the eBay store "Astonmartinwilmslow"

I have seen the rear clear light kit for £800 and wondered if its all legit.

I went to purchase last night, but my credit card was declined.

Still trying to find out why, but wasn't too sure if the website was flagged by the credit card company or my credit card is knackered.

Link to store below:

For some reason I'm being a bit more cautious these days and know there isn't many suppliers for AM stuff.

Any info would be appreciated.

Well it's a dealer...how much more reputable do you want it?

Further on top you have paypal and ebay protection.

Just seems odd that AM are resorting to selling parts via Ebay ?

I know theres levels of protection using paypal/credit card, but still nice to know if other have successfully bought stuff from there with no issues.

I just bought a DB9 model from their eBay shop. And i've been searching for a long time for a silver model with red calipers to match my car. A very good end to the day!

Yes, I can remember the AM dealer, Lancasters, Reading using an eBay account.
Amongst the parts for sale were road wheels, that probably had been removed when their customers bought alternatives.

Initially it does seem odd, but now an accepted route to market.

Thanks guys.

I ended up ordering the clear light conversion last night.

I also ordered the V12 sills from somewhere else to modernise the looks over summer.

I know some people like it original, but I think some subtle upgrades are acceptable.

I upgraded my V8V MY2007 with clear rear lights and also had the N400 sills put on my car. It made all the difference, I love it.

The Parts Manager at AM Wilmslow is a guy called Lee Power, he is very helpful.
I should know having spent ££££'s with him and they will ship via DHL to you.

The clear light sets are genuine and most dealers have them now at a reduced price, AM Edinburgh had them supplied and fitted for £1K at Christmas

Thanks for info guys, seems I was worrying for nothing.

Hopefully get them for the weekend and fit if the weathers good.

Out of interest, should they be a direct replacement ?

I've seen on Astonmartinbits, that they sell a bolting kit (and new seals) for the conversion !?!

I know I need a heat gun to remove the insert and some double sided tape to re-fit.

I have fitted the N400 sills and they are a direct replacement, but for some reason I thought the V12 sills requires new rear wheel arch liners?

The clear lights are a direct replacement and I believe the kit comes with all necessary parts, a hair dryer suffices to remove the painted light insert.
After fitting the new lights it is worthwhile checking a few weeks later for any water ingress, the neoprene seals are not that great a design and I discovered the boot carpet on mine was bit damp
