I really want to love my V8 Vantage but....

Not that avinalarf mentioning being 6'6" made the slightest difference to anything at all,,,

Joking apart, I just about scrape 5'9" on a good day, never had a moments concern about vis out of my DB9, maybe a Vantage model quirk. It has to be fixable, I can't imagine it won't be.

Perhaps my problem is that I tend to treat everyone on this forum as an old mate that knows me and that knows I do get a bit carried away and self indulgent.
You will find owning an Aston is a real buzz.

But it doesn't. At just over 6 foot ~2m tall and with my hair touching the roof, I still can't any of the bonnet past the first 1/3rd of the grills. Its actually a confidence issue not a height issue. None of us can see the front corners of the car from the driving seat.

I have just paid attention to what I can see when driving my Vantage. Not much! I can't see any bodywork at all. My car could change colour to fluorescent pink when the engine starts and I wouldn't know. Looking forwards I can see part of the wiper blades and that's it. I'm 6'0" and that's how I roll

I switch the parking sensors on when parking or manoeuvring.

My Mrs is 5'4" and has no issues.

When I first sat in a V8V I couldn't figure out how to get comfy (opposite issue for me at 6'4"). As others have noted, have you tried lifting and pushing the buttons at both ends? I find the rear of the cushion button to make the most difference.

Also make sure the seat isn't at its furthest extreme forward or back when trying to raise/lower it - I find that I have to have the seat forwards an inch or so in order for it to be able to drop sufficiently at the rear so my legs fit in the car.

My other half loves driving it. Once you get comfy I'm sure you will too.

(This sort of thing is also why I recommend people make sure they get memory seats!!)
