Gear oil

I'm planning on getting a gear oil refresh done on my AMV8 soon. Is there any additive which is known to be worthwhile adding to the manual box to promote smoother changes - particularly 1st and 2nd from cold?

Its not at additive as such, just the revised specification/brand of oil that came out later

Im sure one of the specialists can advise, maybe call Bridge mill and ask them what they use, whatver they put in my gearbox a few years ago made a world of difference

Thanks. Did as you suggested. Apparently it is Castrol - Manual - Fully Synth - BO2 270A.

Apparently there is no other info on the bottle and it's difficult get from anywhere other than Aston.
