Main Dealers - experience

My Stratstones have gone above and beyond on my issue recently. I really think they care, even if they do get it wrong now and again. And it costs them.
I rang mine again today to give them the benefit of the doubt - two weeks after failing to receive a call back I was promised.Similar experience to before. After being passed from pillar to post a couple of times and being told by one person I spoke to "I don't see how this is Stratstone's problem", I was once again promised a call back - this time within 24 hours with a response/resolution.
Anyone want to suggest odds on me getting a favourable outcome.......or even said phonecall?

Well......here's a turn up for the books. I'll have to eat my words somewhat.
After the last phone call, I was contacted by the dealer and asked for the photographic evidence showing the damage to the grille prior to my purchase, which I promptly sent. Couple of days later they contacted me again and agreed to replace the grille at their expense.
Whilst i'm not happy with the initial run around I was given - they do appear to have come good.

The cynic in me thinks someone from Stratstones reads the Aston Martin forum in that Pistonheads website thing!!!!
I hope they do, because my after sales experience of the Stratstones dealership I used to purchase my car was awful. So bad as I've said before, I won't use them again and have removed any type of Stratstones branding from my car!tonyhall38 said:
My experience with HWM....has been great.....can't fault them....as yet.....
Exactly the same with me. HWM were so good when I purchased my DB9 that despite them being over 100 miles away from me there is no doubt that it will be going back there for servicing.I remember you being very helpful back then when I was having massive problems with Stratstone on a DBS purchase Tony.
Those two dealerships are a gulf apart.

I'd suggest it's not a group thing, but a local thing. I have used Wilmslow for a number of Astons and I've has zero complaints on sales or service. In fact, I'd say the service dept is top notch. They've always gone out of their way to make me happy. They even picked the DBS up form Northants for a service while it is stored down there while some building work is going on. No charge. On nearly every occasion they have pre-empted my requests without having to be prompted for things. I'm not saying its always perfect, but a simple conversation explaining what the end state I wish to achieve and they come through.

Same garage and I disagree. Squealling brakes came back with a really horrid handbrake feel for some reason. Repainted the door due to bubbling and found a scratch on the same door someone had tried to buff out. Filap over the petrol cap recall took a perfectly working one to one that sticks. Yes they pick the car up and do the pleasantries but the mechanics are definitely factory trained as they're just as bad. It's all low level attention to detail and aggro. I'm yet to have the car back despite being in 3 or 4 times without something being worse despite the problems that were meant to be fixed being resolved.

Well, I did buy both Astons from them so it's only polite.....
