Sold my DBS today nothing wrong with the car just never really used it, only done 2k in a year.
At least I've had 5 years of Astons which is more than some people can say.
I have a indoor cover now spare and a leather pouch for the key up for grabs and the bible.
Cheers everyone and I will be back on PH sometime no doubt.

I'd keep the leather pouch. Something like that always comes in handy ;-)

And the bible wink for when temptation gets too much and a V12VS or Vanquish beckons smile

That stunning DBS Volante will be a hard car to replace... what's next Paul?

Down grading to a SL63 AMG when the right one comes along and at half the price I don't care about in frequent use.

Too late for that. The deal has been done and my ECU is now snug and safe!

Paul,

I had to have a couple of my special pills on reading of your demise from the brand,I was shocked to think how you could part with such a stunning DBS……possibly Gaydon's
finest hour to date.

But thinking of its lack of use I could reason with your decision,a similar route to one I took several years back when I sold my Aston due to lack of use
at that time…………

All seemed reasonable at the time, not using it,get some loot back etc………but then it starts, that I'm missing it feeling, the empty space where it once stood and the lack of attention
from admirers, the noise of the thing etc etc.

Its all part of a very special experience so I'll give you 8 months to a year before your back on the hunt, mark my words you have been warned biggrin,so well done for leaving the door a jar…...thumbup

I guess a Vanquish Volante would seem the sensible progress through the ranks on your part………….. if I was a betting man….smile

Good luck with the new motor Paul.... I'm sure you'll be back in no time. My V12 has had feck all use this year sadly but hoping to get it out in the next month or two, I thought about selling it for 1/2 a second and decided there is no chance of that smile

What I didn't say on my initial post is I will clear my mortgage instead so not that bad a situation I guess.
Also I have sold the pouch and cover thanks for that.
Can't see me climbing that high again but if I don't gell with the merc a vantage may well do the job.
Cheers for the comments.

Ok. So it's half there cost but, don't you stand to lose more in real terms from heavier depreciation on the merc?

Also, out of curiosity , if it's not being drive enough then would you not consider making it your DD (or is it already your DD).

I've sold on before on the basis of not enough use so just wondering what other thoughts you'd had.
