Phew …… deal's back on.

Seriously though, who gives a flying fk about the umbrella? It was a £140 ridiculous option (which my SP10 also has - V2.0 btw) for people who like ticking boxes.
I disagree Pete......the umbrella was a deal maker for me ....walking through the City with my Top Hat ....my Aston Martin Umbrella makes my day........so much in fact I even put it up when it's not raining.......many admiring glances. smile

I quite like the umbrella - metal handle instead of the plastic stratstone one. I won't buy an Aston without one - nor a compressor nor a valid tyre kit. No a leather key pouch, come to think of it. At that price point, I like that attention to detail (just wish the same could be said about some of the cleaning).

My friend has a DB7 GT from McGurks and the lovely old wooden handle, multi-coloured umbrellas are fabulous smile

Interested about DB9 umbrella as I always thought mine was an original and it's not the same as in your pic. Not saying you are wrong of course, just asking the question.

This pic isn't of my MY05 DB9 (can't be bothered getting car out of garage for photo) but it looks like this and I have seen a few pics of early DB9's with this umbrella..........

ALSO......

Interesting - it looks like some earlier cars may well have had the two-tone grip and silver edging on the brolly.

V8VPete - I have never suggested that it was a deal breaker. The OP asked for advice, which I offered. Some people (although clearly not you) may be concerned to know what is supposed to be in their car and what's not. How many people are disappointed to discover they don't have a spare key, or a blade emergency key, or the security wheel stud, an emergency triangle, a puncture kit or even a gap where a first aid kit should have been when the RTA occurs in front of you...

The umbrella look OK, but what is that washing machine outlet hose for?

Much neater in the Vantage.

No idea the photo is a random internet pic of a DB9 Volante.
It's an electrical umbilical for the boot release and number plate lights. Funny, it's glaring now you mention it, but 'in the flesh' it is quite unobtrusive...

You know what, I was just Avinalarf. Some of you seem to be taking this whole umbrella thing just a bit too seriously.

Thanks Steven,

I'll tell him but he's a fussy old goat and is looking for something in an unusual colour combination preferably with a light interior.

He likes the idea of a red one and has been taken with a couple he's seen at Smith's……….rolleyes
