I'm lost for words...fine, have a grudge about people with nice cars, promote your green political agenda while you're at it, but to claim what the bloke did was a good thing is outrageous for any media publication.

I haven't been riled by a media article for a very, very long time.

If anyone here is on Twitter (I'm not) they might like to bring this to the attention of Henry Faure Walker @FaureWalker, CEO of Newsquest who own the paper in question. As CEO of a large publishing firm I suspect he doesn't drive a Trabant or live in a council flat so I wonder how he feels about one of his employees urging the public to vandalise pricey cars.

It won't do anything, but I've tweeted her and the editor.

Done. Nothing rude, just bringing it to his attention.

Lots of people now giving it attention, including Chris Harris and Midweek Motorsport. They've tagged the original article, linked it to all of the advertisers (including Audi!) and the comments section has been disabled on the article.

Shame this topic is buried in the Aston Martin section, would get even more exposure in NP&E.

I've added the twitter and article links to the relevant reddit page which should give it a bit more exposure...

I can't believe someone would be so narrow minded or stupid. Has she ever met someone with a "swanky" car? If only she had a clue! Nothing will happen to her though. The paper will get more coverage and she will eventually say sorry.

If my car gets keyed this week/month/century can I claim off the paper as they told people to do it?

Ask yourself a question. Would it be foreseeable that such a thing could happen after some idiot read that article. I would say yes, ergo the paper could be responsible if inciting criminal damage is a crime. I don't know if it is.

Hello chum! Yes, I'm missing it like I would miss an arm if it suddenly fell off There is not a single day that passes where I do not regret selling it, particularly as the main reason was to provide me with more comfort during my commute. As it transpired, the main reason for my discomfort in the DD was not that it was a Ford Focus, it was more to do with 2 herniated discs in my neck - something I was unaware of at the time. So, do I miss it? I cannot describe it in words. Hope all's well at your end mate.

On her twitter account https://twitter.com/ladycatht the tweet linking to the story says:
Vandalising expensive cars? Why I heartily approve:
http://t.co/GAf8efIDrJ
Is that not breaking some kind of law with regards to inciting criminal damage?
