What an amazing thread.
Some low-life keys a car, and some of the posts are basically : It's the owners fault because he probably parked in a bay he shouldn't, and it's the owners fault for daring to park a nice car in that area.
Seriously??????????????????????
The ONLY person at fault here is the guy who keyed the car!

I was looking for a reason why the chap would've keyed the car, other than the fact he was just jealous. It's because he has a pram (and a very expensive one at that) that I came to that conclusion. In no way was I condoning his actions, or blaming the Aston owner

I look up to anyone who owns an expensive car like that.
Why do you look up to them? They're possibly/probably no better than you, just better financed or prepared to take bigger finance than you! Doesn't mean they're Pillars of Society. What a worthless piece of s**t. What is wrong with people.
A car should be just simply admired / judged / commented on based on what it is,
and should have nothing to do with who owns it or how they've gone about owning / financing it.
I never pay attention to who is behind the wheel. From all I know it could be a mechanic / sales man making a drop off.

What a loser somebody is to do that to someone else's car. What a cowardly thing to do as well.
My wife and i are not lucky enough to own an Aston but that makes no difference as somebody decided to damage both our cars a month or so ago. Pretty depressing. Just because a car is not new does not mean it is not cared for and enjoyed. It's as much pain for us as the owner of the Aston. He is lucky enough to have a lovely clear picture of the loser so can vent some retribution at least. I know we would if i caught however done it.
Yes, some people will comment "it's only a car" but that is not the point. We try to keep our things nice, we work & brought them for cash and it's nothing but a dickless thing to do.
People who this kind of thing really need to take a look at their sad little lives.

Rather ironic that someone with an £800 pram could feel enough jealousy/hatred to do something like this
I feel sorry for the child, what a terrible father!
That occurred to me as well I feel sorry for the child, what a terrible father!
After saying ten years ago that I would never have a new car again, one of them was keyed to the tune of £4000 within a month of buying it, I have a new Mustang on order.
I'm so worried about this sort of thing happening to it, along with fekwits hitting it with their doors or whilst trying to park, that I'm seriously trying to move out of London to somewhere quiet.
It will greatly inconvenience me in that the drive/ride/train to work will be a pain and I will not be living near to my kids.
It's a bloody joke that I have to consider this because of the amount of kvnts like that man that are around.
This is probably famous last words, but for the last 8 years I have parked my car at stations, on the street in supermarkets and it has never been scratched or dinged. I am not talking about your average station snotter, my daily is a Lotus Evora.
In reality I think there are only a small number of destructive jealous prats about and I don't think I would change my choice of transport because of the small risk of one of these half wits taking a dislike to my car. In reality I am probably more likely to damage it on kerbs or when backing the convoluted route onto my drive

Good. Prank or not that f**ker deserved it. Leave other peoples stuff alone. The wide ranging, and far reaching powers of social media........so far today the original police post has been shared by two of my Facebook friends here in Bermuda, and two in the USA. All of which have received comments of universal condemnation, as you would expect.
I think what struck me when I first saw the video, was the profile of the offender. Middle aged man wearing expensive clothes, with a kid in an expensive pushchair. Then I looked at the way he scratched the car. This guy is a professional. He's done this many times before. Just look at the way he took the keys out of his pocked and nonchalantly walked past inflicting the damage.
Let's hope the police track him down and successfully prosecute him for mindless vandalism.
Let's also hope the video doesn't start some sort of copycat 'let's key an Aston' craze amongst other similar like minded petty criminals. Remember when idiots were stealing VW badges off of, er Volkswagens, in the 1980's?

Great Unfortunately even if he is convicted I doubt he will every pay the repair bill

Simple solution then, sell the expensive push chair, and add the proceeds to the rest of the cash the perpetrator has to pay, to get the paint damage rectified.Pan Pan Pan said:

The CPS and authority 'do gooders' have a lot to answer for as well.
How many on here know you have to actively ask for an incident (or CAD) number now? If not, your criminals act is not counted in the official crime figures... which of course are falling.

Run around in a car such as the Aston and you hardly dare leave the thing anywhere unattended it seems. If you own 'nice things' you become a target, expect problems with such ostentatious wealth. Its all part of the Society changes going on in the U.K.
Since when have you noticed this occurring? We had yobs on our estate 25 years ago burn our trailer down full of karting equipment. Gassing Station | Aston Martin | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
