Run around in a car such as the Aston and you hardly dare leave the thing anywhere unattended it seems. If you own 'nice things' you become a target, expect problems with such ostentatious wealth. Its all part of the Society changes going on in the U.K.
Since when have you noticed this occurring? We had yobs on our estate 25 years ago burn our trailer down full of karting equipment.
I first noticed this occurring about 25 years ago.

Other indications are to be found with peoples need to spec' up their car with a camera, just in case. Not just cars but houses as well from the Mansions to the 'call it what you like house'.
Why is it that the U.K. has more CCT than any other Country - Jeeez, I feel another disagreement on its way. laugh

Oh, it's alive and growing alright. Hence our two little roadsters getting damaged for no other reason than jealousy and both of them cost less than some ICE options when ordering your new Aston.

I'm posting this on behalf of the owner who wishes to keep his identity secret.

owner is a pistonheads forum member who i know both he and his car very well.

friendly, kind, normal guy who worked hard to buy his dream car.

car wasn't parked in a disabled or mother and child bay or double parked.

owner gave the video to the police showing him driving in to the car park and parking up to prove he wasn't driving too fast or doing anything out of the norm. In fact, the video shows the owner even slowed down to let the bloke cross the road in front of him prior to parking up, his speed whilst trundling around car park was about 6mph.

despite some trying to find the best in people in an attempt to make some reason as to why the guy did it - the title of this thread says it all.

I think the general disgust about this ow life has been inspiring. He is in a similar pariah category as the dentist lion killer. I'm taking a positive!

Wonder what dashcam the owner was using? If it covered 360 degrees and gave this kind of quality I'd be looking to get one.
If it hasn't already been answered, Blackvue DR500GW.
Thanks. I see the 2 channel model was being used.

See this is the trouble with the internet & so much free-flowing info. Some simple brains can't understand that people are exactly the same as they were years ago.
I distinctly remember back in the early 1980's most of the cars in my street had their tyres slashed & this was in a nice part of Reigate. I doubt it did more than make the local rag.

So glad this low life has been caught. Having been the victim of a "keying", it's not a pleasant experience and my thoughts are with the owner. One piece of good news the car returned from the authorised repairer (Porsche) as good as new.

On the back of this incident I've just purchased a BlackVue DR600GW-HD. Probably won't prevent an "keying" by some malicious jealous tcensoredt but I'll sure as hell have evidence, as this owner did, of the scum bag. Just hope I'm not tempting fate!

I bet this has done wonders for the sale of Dash Cams. Never considered them before, but I'll be sure to get one for my car currently on order.

Careful with that key, Eugene !

Gary Eugene Brissett, 48, of Clissold Road in Hackney, is accused of causing criminal damage to a motor vehicle.

Put one in my work car 5 months ago, it works well.
I've got it set up so I can transfer to other cars quickly and easily

Cheers, I didn't realise that they recorded whilst parked. It would seem that that particular model has a proximity sensor.
