I hope its not going to get to the point where people have to place camera's in their cars as standard due to scumbags like this!

GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRfurious This brings back bad memories for me.I had my brand new TVR T350C for a week. Some jealous person work I worked poured red bull over the bonnet. And believe it or not the paint all blistered. The colour was Midas gold. Had to have the whole front end resprayed. I hope this Animal get what's coming. You can't wonder why people hate them f***ers. I feel so sorry for the owner.
But as he is probably out of work, he will get to do some menial community work.
'Them f***ers'?

Late 90s, I had parked my BMW (the one I still have) outside my brother's place in South London. About an hour later one of his kids said that something was splashed over my door.

I rushed out to find almost everyone else living on the road out and looking in horror at their cars.

About 40 cars had all been splashed with paint stripper which was now bubbling away the paint in a cloud of fumes.

Turns out it was some kid on a bicycle throwing the stuff onto the cars as he pedaled past.

Little bastid had caused around £30,000 worth of damage all for a laugh.

Unfortunately this sort of stuff has been happening for a long time.

Good. Glad he has been identified. Once the CPS have let him off then somebody can teach him the error of his ways in a more direct manner smile

Only just seen this. What a fking prick. I hope the police do their jobs right and give him a decent punishment, instead of the usual bks where they don't seem to care.

Thanks to the CPS and do gooders local justice being used will probably prove more effective than our law courts. (Given our recent experiences of suffering anti social scum).

What is the likely punishment for a scumbag like this. The insurance company should go after him for compensation.

Depends how good his legal council are.
Can you actually see the key against the car from the dashcam?
What I can see is a guy fumbling in his pocket, removing something, and then walking alongside the car and out of shot.
If the guy gave the key a good clean & there are no corresponding traces of paint or metal found on it, what real evidence is there?

Turn the sound up and you can hear the scraping of the key along the car as he goes past - bang to rights.

You seriously cannot hear the scraping on the car as he walks down down the side?

Indeed but that depends on the umpire's decision. Can't see anything on hot spot but snicko would give him out.
