Not sure if this is a rehash of an old story but Palmer is talking of an electric Rapide in 2 years. At least it won't have a turbo smile

Only found it as I've ordered a Tesla and was researching all things electric.

Rather interesting that Aston CEO had some choice words about Tesla's ludicrous mode recently... and yet his customers are also buying Teslas!

Not that I'm against electric cars (on the contrary, I think the Tesla is great), but a rehashed Rapide with a battery pack is far from the clean sheet approach Tesla did with the Model S. Very sceptical on this one.

Tesla was a clean sheet as they didn't have an existing platform.

does AM have technical and financial resource to dabble in an area in which it has no experience?

AM need to focus on core product, not expensive niches

And that's exactly the reason why it's as good as it is (as in unmatched).

That's one thing Aston could teach the world - I believe that's all they've ever done

Mercedes does have the electric SLS... I guess it's not far off of the engine and electronics sharing.

I thought it had been mentioned that the electrics were coming from and in partnership with Williams who do all the FormulaE race cars, I think their technology is as good as it gets
