Hi, Now I have always wanted an Aston and am fortunately in a position to buy. Looked at the DB9 and DBS which I really like however I just cant get comfy in them.
I am not terribly tall (6FT) but seem to have short legs and long body !!which means my eyelevel is pretty much just under the headlining on the windscreen (if that makes sense)
I have tried to get the seat as low as possible but its just not going work.
So now thinking about other Aston's is the Vnquish ( old one) any better for headroom ? I assume the old v*8s from the 80's are good but didn't really want to go that old.
Any insight would be great
Thanks

I have the same problem and just about fit. If you're sitting in new cars then try a used one as you gain about half an inch when the seat beds in a bit. The lightweights are probably no good as you're pretty much mandated to have the back rest quite upright compare to a slightly more relaxed position with the standard sports.
I've not noticed much difference between the vantage, db9 or dbs. The roadster/volante are slightly worse (or no issue if open )
I'm 6'3" with 33" inside leg to give a reference

Try getting the seat closer and recline the rake. You can bring the steering wheel closer to you, if needed.
I used to find that the bum-end of the seat set as low as possible, with the front of the squab relatively high and plenty of recline was a good position for me. I'm 6'3 but do have freakishly long arms….

Were the lightweight seats an option on any of the 2+2 models, or just the Vantage?
You definitely sit lower in the car on these!
They were an option early on IIRC BUT I've only ever seen one car with them inYou definitely sit lower in the car on these!
The issue would be the back doesn't tip so getting the the back would be a right PITA

This is what worked for me too. I usually sit quite upright in a car so it felt odd at first but now feels great and very comfortable on long runs.I am 6ft 4" with 34" inside leg and have a 2007 DB9 with standard seats. It took me almost a year to find a really comfortable driving position by constantly moving the seat and internal seat and back support. I have now done two one week 'Tours' of around 2000 miles each with no driver position issues.
If anything I would look at changing my steering wheel to one with a flat bottom as the current one is close to my thighs.

Thanks guys, I tried pretty much all seat positions and reclining was better but compromised and still not good.
Incidentally I drove a db7 once and it was the only car I stopped the test drive on because I didn't feel safe driving as my head was touching the roof and I had to slightly sideways to see out !!
