The Aston protection is shaped like a sharks fin, it doesn't cover enough to protect it. I have Expel on mine, up to the waist line. Because it ends at the waist and runs from arch to door shut, you cant see it. Its brilliant.
Thanks for the advice - I've just googled Xpel and found a local fitter 2 mins up the road....next is the £ divetheworld said:

Yep did the same on my last VantageRecently looked at the latest films for the McLaren and the Suntek stuff seems to come out on top
OP if your arches were like that what's the front like?
It may be worth getting that done as well?
Mikey, you are probably right. The 3M ventrureshield is quite thin compared to what I took off. However, its on now and can be replaced in future if need be.
This appeared to be the one right to choose at the time, however looks like there are better quality/longer lasting films out there.

So had a new sliding door installed (on the house) and wondering if this would be a good install to keep the dogs from scratching the glass when they want out?
Ventureshield no it will scratchExpel/Suntek gen2/3 self healing would work, the Suntek is optically about the best.
A wipe down with some warm water or a hair dryer will "heal" the mark the muts leave;)

The venture shield will do better than the factory fit "helicopter tape"This appeared to be the one right to choose at the time, however looks like there are better quality/longer lasting films out there.
It did 19k miles in 3 years on my last one and only started discolouring then

I decided to buy a sheet of 3M Ventureshield stone chip protector and make the templates and fit them myself. I think AM charge about £25-35 per piece. so its quite expensive, but worth it to protect the paint.
Thread resurrection! Lee, do you still have the template for the Vantage rear arch protectors? I have some film, but have failed to find a template so far to allow me to cut it to shape. If anyone else has one then please let me know. Thanks in advance!
