Quicksilver straight pipes, the only issue my fitter found, was that they were slightly shorter than the CATS. Therefore the bit of play in the exhaust system was taken up when both ends were tightened up. Not noticed any detrimental effects.

I was looking at secondary catalyst replacement pipes for my DB9, and while I am sure they are a nice product I found the asking price from Quicksilver (£835.20 incl. VAT) to be a little over the top for what are just 2 pipes that are hidden once the undertray is back on.

But the sound they are supposed to make is very nice so I showed the pictures to a local shop (ProFab Exhausts here in Swansea - https://www.facebook.com/profabexhausts/) who were building an exhaust header for one of my race cars and they said "no problem". Once new triangular flanges were made and I had ordered a new set of gaskets, I dropped of the car on Friday collected on Monday.

The sound is "biblical" under acceleration but still nice while motorway crusing.

The cost was way less than that quoted above, and it shows what supporting local companies can get you.

I will try and make a recording and upload.
