Saw the Paul Hollywood programme last night on TV and although I still don't like the DB10 I have to concede it looks better in movement. Perhaps it's the meager looking headlights and lack of indicators, driving lamps, auxiliary lamps and number plate that make the front of the car look empty. I was pleased that although Hollywood was polite about it he told Reichman that it could never replace the DB5 as the most iconic Aston.

The car makes sense when you see it in the metal (plastic?). From my standing height, the lights, bonnet and grille work perfectly.

Hi Nigel/Beau

We were there too & Mark Higgins (what a nice bloke BTW) said all 10 had survived.

I like the design - they said they wanted it to have a shark-look & it certainly does!
I was not keen on it when i first saw it. However, after watching the Paul Hollywood programme last night it make sense, as i like the predatory direction. Yes, make Aston's more of an agressive car. More power is surely coming with the new evolution of AM cars. Good thing too.
There's always intertia when a much loved icon is changed. In this case very visually striking in difference from what we are used to. But over time the next generation will have grown up with it and so will accept it.
Hence, I'm looking at that snout in a new light. I accept i am in a minority but i like to be different anyway.

Liking the look, especially the interior...
Thinking about it for 3 seconds, I think it appeals as it has a bit of torture chamber sub/dom thing going on inside there. All that black leather on leather and studs and strap.

Liking the noise.
Not liking the instrument binnacle...too modern dare i say it.
Not so keen on leather bits, it will get worn and dirty on the bits you pull etc.

To make up for that crappy review from Vanity Fair, here's a more proper look at the car from our dear friend, Tim:

The more I see of this car the more I like it. Should be seeing in the flesh in a few weeks and I'm quite excited about that smile

I agree with you.

Some have commented that it looks better in the flesh. However the car it is based on (V8V), has good looks in photographs and in the flesh. The first impression photos must have resulted in many sales of that model. I was one.

That shark face. I am proud that my car has probably the closest copy of the DB4 / DB5 / DB6 front grille. A design feature, that makes the Vantage models instantly recognisable to everyone, as Aston Martins.

My opinion counts for nothing though. The crucial aspect for the Company, is how well the replacement models sell, whatever the front designs might look like.

Oh dear.

Car looks lovely. I see that the stalks are still the same, although the shafts are covered in leather.

Thinking about it, maybe they are influenced by the 70's Astons? They had an undercut to the nose.
