I'm trying to replace the battery on my 07 V8V. However, I can't figure out how to remove the two clamps at the base of the battery. I've removed all four torx screws and yet the battery won't come loose. It seems that the clamps slide sideways but there is not enough clearance to a trim panel to slide the clamps all the way out.

Any suggestions?

I removed the trim to the front of the battery, it's easy to do, look at it and you can see how it is held in. Once out the rest is plain sailing.

If you are talking about the side trim then IIRC it moved out of the way with a little pressure. Sorry been a few months since I did mine but I recall it all being fairly straightforward . Hope you get sorted.

I changed my battery yesterday. The 2 clamps slide to the left and will come off if you manipulate the carpet panel on the left. Getting them back on is also fun.

Pull the floor carpet out from under the vertical battery panel as the panel has fastenings both to the top rail and under the carpet. Once this panel is out then tou should be ok. Flex the side panel to allow clamps to slide past and off the keyway. Carpet is a bit tricky to wriggle back under back panel on re assembly.
