When I bought a new Cayenne S in March, the model which saved Porsche and upset the purists, I was told the 918 type steering wheel alone cost £20 million to develop. Admittedly it is also used in the Macan and is now available in the latest 911's, Boxsters and Caymans. Strength in numbers methinks.
Is my understanding correct, that you are saying the Volkswagen Audi Group have plenty of money?
Things may be changing. They are already talking about employee lay-offs.
Nuisance telephone calls about TDI compensation will be plaguing us next.
Apart from the rather obvious clue, sometimes seeing black smoke coming from the exhaust of diesel vehicles,
how were we to know that the low tax, 'clean' diesels, are killing people?

[/quote] So expect walnut on the dash and door tops, leather headlining, bonnet bulge, and the engine builder name on the engine. Chassis numbers to be confirmed later

Oh how i wish. I love the new stuff but still do get very excited by a sexy V car. V600 anyone? Yes, please
Plus, so what if Paul Hollywood has made a few quid from "baking cakes". I don't care about that as what counts is a real love for the marque (i won't use brand). The programme was about an otherwise normal fella who is lucky enough to own Aston Martin's. It was not over tech loaded, or highly polished, it was made with some real passion. I bet many owners would have come over sounding exactly the same if they really have the love for all things Aston and could make a programme.

I was watching the documentary again just now and I think we saw the DB11 for the first time here - hidden in plain view, so to speak. Because as Paul Hollywood was being shown round the Gaydon design studio by Marek Reichman, in this frame I believe you can plainly see the clay DB11 being worked on.
The film was finished in 2015 but had elements filmed a year earlier with the DB10 design, so this model was probably one of the first public views. But nobody has mentioned it, so am I wrong? I'm assuming the DB11 design will have been signed off and the car mostly finished at the time of the filming, so I wonder whether an early model was included here for effect and to keep us guessing.
And the real thing...
