Both smashing looking cars.Out of interest,the Vanquish is a 6 speed TT priced @ £154K,similar cars priced @ £139K.
An 8 speed is circa £175k.
How much would it concern you....... 6 speed and save £40K ?

A 6 speed is now so very yesterday, Steven.
Rather like the iPhones. I am top of the tree with my iPhone 7,
but if I only had an iPhone 6, my life would be unbearable.

two things...
1.the 8 speed I've read is that much better.
2.you would pay more but make it up when selling.
Just saying if you're spending that sort of money what's £30/40K between friends.
As for your Iphone analogy,as you well know, for many the introduction of the latest model causes palpitations.

I was trying to be serious and on topic for once.
I think you might be contempting a change of car, Steven.
You do seem to be up to date on the asking prices.
I cannot answer your questions, but maybe have a drive in the 6 speed and 8 speed to compare.
At the time of the 8 speed announcement, I think they spoke about other improvements too, but whether it was 'window dressing', who knows.
It might be worth waiting for next March (DB11), because if that car has more power than a Vanquish, then presumably the Vanquish will be improved again. If so, then perhaps a 6 speed at the lower price, might be a tempting choice.
There you have it - all very serious.
Now time for avinalarf. Must watch some more President Reagan joke telling videos.

If any of those options had three pedals I'd be there in a heartbeat...
On the DB11 front, I received a call from Harwoods looking for deposits for the DB11 (refundable of course) to secure a build slot. Has anyone else been touted?
Cheers
Chris
how much, for the car,(not the deposit) ?On the DB11 front, I received a call from Harwoods looking for deposits for the DB11 (refundable of course) to secure a build slot. Has anyone else been touted?

Chris
how much info did they give you ?
Not much. Deposit is 5K but fully refundable. It's really to secure a build slot. There are no details of the car yet but as soon as they have info they will let me know. I'm thinking of taking a punt. I can justify being without the 5K for a while - especially knowing I get it back if the car isn't what I want.
Chris.

After spending over £200,000, some of the early Vanquish 2 buyers 'went ballistic'. There was even a protest website. Something to do with the quality of the carbon fibre bodywork finish.
A guaranteed early build-slot for any new model, might not necessarily result in happiness.
Absolutely agree chap. Hence I'm not too worried knowing I can get the money back if what appears on launch isn't satisfactory. A guaranteed early build-slot for any new model, might not necessarily result in happiness.
