Still dealing with this nightmare! Car is at dealer now with trans out. They say sensor and magnet looks fine? Mike what are your thoughts on the posted info they sent? I was also told by them that snapshot tells that the clutch is fine. As I dig deeper there is another section in the software that shows in depth clutch values as I thought.

Hi Brian. Sorry i missed the post from Nov with data. I did read your initial reply on 26th Nov and expected a day or 2 for data, i didn't expect it same day and because you posted it same day i thought the thread had not been updated so didn't look back in.

The screenshot you provide is a bit puzzling, it looks corrupt to me because its showing zero for many gears total distance covered?? and a few other parameters are empty too.

If the rest of the data can be believed, there does appear no issue with gearbox wear or magnetic sensor, based on clutch error counts, the clutch looks suspect.

But, the process of detective work needed to fix this problem should have been a bit more scientific than partial trans data and removal of trans - The engineers approach would have been something like this.....

1- Understand trans software level, if old don't update yet
2- Look at trans snapshot data to understand if irregularities in position sensor, mechanical gear wear and clutch performance - print that off to use as reference (is what you have but needs to be complete / not corrupt, plus clutch open / closed / kiss point and delta measurements which you don't show) all the parameters here will tell a story.
3- reflash with latest level software AMDS wants to throw at car
4- do a clutch learn, gear position learns. Print that data and compare against when car drove in - this will tell what has changed since the original learn / adpation and indicate where any fault might be
5- Drive car to assess - should be problem solved if all clutch parameters (open / closed / delta / kiss) reading are within tolerance expected and all the data from the screenshot you post (but most of yours is missing) looks good to

Have you really just got corrupt / partial data and the transmission removed from car without really knowing why the trans is being removed?

I am stuck between a rock and a hard place as my dealer options and repair facilities local to me are minimum. The trans is out and the dealer says the mag sensor appears to be ok? They want to change the sensor on the torque tune that reads the shaft speed. I stopped at the shop one day and they were going to put the trans back in the car. So I asked them we are about two hours away from actually seeing the clutch why don't we pull it out? They agreed and out it came. The clutch does appear to be worn and has a high spot on the outside of the flywheel and the flywheel shows signs of heat. ( I will send you the pics of you have a email) car is going back together this week and I hope it fixes my problems. I have owned the car for months and it has been on the shop the entire time. The one thing that I keep thinking about is the times I have shifted the car and the gearbox makes the shift fine but the dash reads the previous gear. It then throws a gear fault message until you bump the paddle o match the current gear. Would the clutch make the car do something like this?
