how did you reset the warning on your car?

I had my "oil level warning, check and top up" message and I was at the minimum on the dipstick. Then I put almost a liter and the dip stick now reads above the mid point but the warning is still lit up. Do you think I need to fill up the oil closer to the max reading on the dipstick?

Sorry to bring a thread up from the dead but I have issue with my v12s. My oil level check light came on. I checked the level with a cold engine. It was a little low so filled it up and rechecked after sitting overnight. The level was at max but warning light still on. I spoke with Aston service didn't have to much to add, but he seemed worried that the red triangle light was on. He said to add oil, let it sit and recheck oil level. If not improved than I need to bring it in. Any thoughts?

Check the wiring on the sender - it is at the bottom of the sump towards the front. Make sure it is plugged in and that the wiring from it is not chaffing on the engine, shorting the circuit and hence illuminating the low oil light. I would trust the dipstick for the time being.

Never thought my original post would make it to nearly 6 pages !
I would rather trust the dipstick than onboard electronics so wouldn't follow your dealer's advice to add oil and check again.
If the level is OK (checking when the engine is completely cold) I wouldn't add any oil.
