Thinking laterally here, wouldn't be cheaper for the driver to lose a kg or 2?! I reckon it would save about £20k on CF
Whilst I can't comment on a GT12For my GT8 I drew the line on what I called excessive weight saving options and just went for the options that I thoughtt added value! I added up the options on top of the options and they would have saved me 15 KG and cost over 20 grand.
As I parted with my 20 grand deposit a cruel twist of fate I fell ill. By a much better twist of fate I have lost 42 pounds in weight in 6 months so approx 19kg : glad to say the big scary words were all proven wrong but it's not a diet I would recommend. Resale wise it means nothing and TBH don't really care.
Number 8/150 will be hitting the roads this week and will be enjoyed to the full by me and anyone within a wide ranging distance of ear shot. Pictures will be posted and yes I am the not so fat git with the biggest smile standing next to the work of art.
My main dilemma though is what do I call myself now on these forums?
I was V8staffie with a V8 Vantage Roadster
Then I was V8staffie with a V12S Vantage Roadster (this has been very confusing it seems)
Now I am V8staffie with a V12S Vantage Roadster and a GT8 Vantage

PS
Pete still trying to find out on the GT8 winter wheel options
Shhhhh but nobody knows!

If so, even more reason not to have the electric seats given how cheap the switches look
LOL. a beautiful car and all you see are the seat switches. What makes it worse on GT12 is they made a one off centre console in CF with bespoke to GT12 leather trim and other elements, but still have those chunky, incredibly cheap to the touch switches. AML are well aware of the problem so the only logical explanation of why they haven't sorted them is the same as the reason they have dropped certain previously standard items from Vantage in general as has been pointed out in the parallel thread on that subject (engine badges, filler caps, etc) - because they know they can get away with it and don't give a monkeys if it cheapens the brand

I think if you go for the manual seat option in the GT8 you still get those switches and they don't do anything. I even suggested at the GT8 launch at Gaydon that they take them out and fill the hole in for manual seat customers but I dont think they thought I was serious AdamV12V said:
And then there were none - all now gone from the AM used website! Have they sold or just been withdrawn from SOR?
We may never know.
However, you could become a mystery GT12 shopper, and make a telephone enquiry to one of the dealers. Please remember to let us all know the answer. There might perhaps be a conspiracy connection involving the AMR branding announcement. Could that have caused a GT12 value drop?
