I might be good at the old polishy polishy, but I'm still poor. Too kind to you lot you see.

You lovely people can bid for a day of pampering for your pride and joys in the auction, but I'm sure many of you would like me to make them look their best prior to the event, I know I would.....lol

Mike, so "sure",,,you're such a tease. yes If I had to guess I'd say DB11.scratchchin
...and I think you'd be correct! I'm liking the looks of the DB11 so far. The Vantage replacement might be tempting also! I was very close to going V12S or V12 before I made the final call. Those GT12s are quite something as well - although I couldn't see myself driving down the local high st. in one...well maybe I could. But it might be a bit conspicuous for these parts of London!!!

I'm looking forward to seeing Vesuvius in the summer Bob...and of course your good selves!

You should be expecting a rush Paddy everyone wants to sparkle on the big day.

You should promote yourself with an offer especially for the Burghley weekend.

Anyway the reason for the post gentlemen is that we are currently sitting on 268 registered cars so can we push the boat out by reaching 270 plus by the weekend.

Come on I dare you…….smile

You spoken to the main dealers about promoting the event? Eg when someone buys a new car.

Very good idea that. You could also ask Aston to put something on their website under the events and ownership section perhaps?

In all honesty no not really,it can be a bit political so I leave it alone.

I'm sure the network is fully aware of this Event so should they choose to mention it to their customers I say GOOD ON UM……..clap.

I would settle if a few of them were to get motivate and send over a Raffle prize to be honest as its all for charity and most dealerships will have
customers present.

So lets put it out there……..are there any dealers looking in wishing to donate a prize.

Please email: edwind.cunningham@btinternet.com

Well I'll sit back and await the rush……….rolleyes, sorry thats a bit glass half empty,I'm sure they'll step up to the plate……...thumbup

Many thanks for all the support so far.

I have been with Ed to day to see a very very nice gent who has a very impressive large collection of cars.
This gent was very helpful and will bring along to Burghley some lovely cars for you to all enjoy. Nice to meet someone so helpful in stead of putting hurdles and water jumps in Ed's way,Burghley don't need any more hurdles or water jumps and Ed don't.

Thanks Ed and gent for a very nice day

I'm bumping this post for anyone that wants a poster as I have been told the PH mail system is down by someone wondering if I'd had there message.
If you have pm'd me on this subject and have not received a reply please use my private email address as shown below please.

Andrew Hill made me a poster to help promote the Event……..:

Any one wanting a copy of this poster ( 594 x 841 ) is welcome to email me to reserve their copy.

There will only be a small batch produced for this event and it will be a case of collect and pay on the day.

The artist has set the price at £25.00 each net with a healthy percentage being donated to the charities of the day.

If you wish to reserve your copy please email me: edwind.cunningham@btinternet.com

Andrew is also producing a run of 10 limited edition Giclee prints of the picture itself on heavyweight fine art paper that will be approx 450 x 600,these will be signed and numbered by the artist.

Number 1 of this extremely limited run will be Auctioned at Burghley with all proceeds again going to the Charity pot.

Many thanks,

Ed.

Just giving an early post from this thread a refresh as Clive is waiting to hear from a few more of you that need to go home making plenty of noise.

This is a fine gesture on Clive's part so please if your thinking of a switch please contact Clive to get yours booked………..NOW !.

During your day at Burghley you will now be able to have a Clive Chedzey Exhaust Bypass Switch fitted to your car.

Clive has kindly donated 25 units to the cause with all the proceeds going to our Charities of the Day.

If you would like to take up Clive's most generous offer and book your appointment for Clive to visit your car whilst at Burghley please email Clive.

clive.chedzey@ntlworld.com

Clive tells me he can fit these switches in under 10 minutes so go on lets make it "Challenge Clive",the cost to have your switch fitted on the day is £80.00 and as
I mentioned previously that goes in full to charity.

Check out the units on Clives website www.cccharger.co.uk if you wish as they are extremely good units.

Thats another super donation generously made to support this Event thank you and if anyone else would like to offer anything whether it be for the Raffle or Auction I'd be pleased to hear from you…….thumbup

If you are thinking about doing this then you shouldn't need to - just do it!

I have one of Clive's switches on ours and it is a really elegant solution to getting your fuse 15/22 open and keeping the valves working. The remote looks really classy and not at all out of place in your Aston. Oh - and it is for a really, really good cause. Win/Win yes

I'm number 3 on Clive's schedule for the day. Looking forward to making even more noise on the journey back home.
