A few cats out of the Burghley 2016 bag.

Come on chaps its Friday night and the weekend starts here.
We now have 307 cars registered to attend in July so whilst trying to keep the momentum going I suppose it wouldn't help any if I told you we won't be getting the Spitfires unfortunately this year..
Sorry and all that but I did try very hard after they proved to be so popular with everyone the last time…………
I filled in all the forms last September and sent them in with all the coordinates and grid references etc, even the height of the Burghley clock tower was taken into account……...
I've waited patiently upon the reply…….. but unfortunately the man from the BBMF he say no Spitfires………
WHAT he did say however was he'd be happy to send along the complete flight from the BBMF so we will now have the Lancaster escorted by their Hurricane and course everyones favourite the Spitfire… (weather and mechanical correctness of course dependent).

Well if its good enough for the Queen…………..why not us lot at Burghley.
Thought you might like the model version as well, the music stirs the blood and hopefully will encourage a few more to register if you please.

Hi Ed , Rob and Molly here. Seriously moved by the BBMF video clip. I know we spoke a little while ago when you suggested that we should attend. We would like to. No Aston I'm afraid but the enemy instead. How welcome in the circumstances would our GT3RS be? After all I am the perceived enemy! So miss everything about Aston Martin other than ownership of the last one!!!!!! We are still on very good terms with the factory and our supplying dealer H.R.Owen.
Without doubt the considerable effort that you are putting into the event wil prove to be so very worthwhile, your success is assured .

Looking at the you tube video just reminds me of what i missed when i turned down the oppertunity for a trip in the Canadian Lancaster a couple of years ago! I still cant belive i turned it down, what a missed experiance and one i bitterly regret now. The view from the front of the Lancaster going down the mall is stunning.
Last year I had a flieght in the Grace Spitfire that was something else. Im back on the list for another!!
Bloody hell, that fly past is insane! I would ask how you managed that, but I know you can be quite persuasive! I really hope the weather is the same as last year.
Rich is right, the more money for charity the better. That's the main aim for the event after all.
Don't forget to make a bid in the auction for a day of my time, but i warn you, it won't be going cheap!
