Item 13 on the Auction list Nijius.

Brentwood are the only Grange outlet who have made a donation at this stage, obviously I welcome any donations if any other dealers are looking in.

Good job Ed, and do you know that AM are no longer organizing race-events on Spa-Francorchamps (wink wink) wink
Thanks very much I really appreciate your kind donation.

Pity you can't make it.

Thanks again,

Pity you can't make it, I was looking forward to seeing your forthcoming V12VR - they're VERY rare cars indeed. Only three weeks to go - how are you coping?!

Ed: no one from the Grange group donated anything or attending??
Grange Brentwood have donated an annual service.

Take it you are still enjoying the V12V.

Its my birthday on Thursday and that is why I set my self a target of getting 400 cars registered for the Burghley House Event.

Well here we are with 2 nights left before my depression sets in for being even more aged and decrepit and we are sitting on 390 cars…………so can we find those missing 10 cars, come on surely we can if we try.

I don't expect any Birthday presents but I would be grateful of a small birthday donation to my Virgin Money grabbing page in aid of others less fortunate.

If you feeling kind hearted on the 31st please go to : http://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/Burghleyastonmarti... and make mine a happy birthday by helping others.

I know I'm a cheeky sod but you can't say I don't try…….biggrin

Ed as we've had a little chat about this, and as you requested a quick mention, I'll whip my new super-duper newfangled 4k TV camera out and bash out a little souvenir video of the event - as its your birthday!

Will aim for a short feel-good montage of the best bits with a few 'awesome' and 'spiffing day' soundbites from us happy Astoneers (don't fret about any furry mics stuffed under your nose from the missus - just eulogise)! May even help you conjure up a few quid next year too as you aim for 750 Astons in 2017 (if you have the will) eek!

Will have to be an early night Saturday at the George then - to avoid wobblevision! Ohh and what you gonna wear - nothing too patterned I hope as it can throb on camera! biggrinwink

Cheers Dewi.

'Burghley the Movie'……….this could turn out to be a right Carry on………

I'm sure it will prove very popular and something everyone will enjoy,I've always wanted to wear make up…...rolleyes

Its all getting rather professional as I went to sort a PA system out yesterday that has been kindly loaned to the Event along with all the radio's by Roadphone.

Oh what fun I can have with a PA System………..hehe

I shall of course be sporting Red trousers for the day and probably a bright Yellow shirt, hope the camera won't make me look to fat in such garb.

Great looking line up! Will the raffle tickets be for sale ahead of time or just on the day? Also is the auction silent sealed bid or do we get paddles with numbers on the day? Few things I'm interested in bidding on.

Morning Andrew,

The Auction on the day is a stick your hand up or shout as it isn't a formal thing.

Anyone that can't make it can lodge bids with me by emailing in advance to the event.

Raffle tickets will be sold on the day, there will be plenty of ladies wandering around selling them but they will also be available from my Gazebo that acts as HQ
and has everything on display.

The Raffle and Auction is planned as before for circa 2pm,this weather and mechanicals allowing will be interrupted by our visit by the Battle of Britain Memorial
Flight who if you don't already know will be honouring us with their Lancaster,Spitfire and Hurricane .

I'll up date the Auction list well ahead of time but will try to stick with 20 main lots else we could be there all night.

I will also have stuff for sale that has been kindly donated and may well offer a few flash sales if the mood takes me.

All proceeds are for the charities so everyone save your pennies as I've got some cracking stuff…...smash

Here you go for a Wednesday Afternoon another kind donation to the Auction.

Debra Wait Wealth Management ltd have generously donated the following, so in Debra's own words,

"My Donation for your auction is an overnight stay at Stapleford Park the package is called “The Whole 9 Yards” guests can arrive from 11am onwards to use facilities - golf/spa swimming pool/ jaccuzi/Gym and tennis courts. The package, for 2 people includes unlimited games of golf followed by a SPA treatment and includes a 3 course dinner and Breakfast."

How nice does that sound if your a golfer,a spa fanatic,a budding Andy Murray or just a plain glutton…………..go on have a look at Stapleford Park.

www.staplefordpark.com

By the way Peter Crouch got married here………..not a lot of people know that biggrin.

I hate my life.
Oh dear oh dear my friend! A lot of us have been in the same waiting position before. It's not long to go now...plus it'll be even better weather when you get the car... smile

Ed I think to raise the maximum amount of money for the good causes certain auction items should have a set starting point. We used to do this with our charity golf days and it ensures you get a fair amount for high value items.

Thanks for your kind donation that Virgin have also just confirmed……….bow

Your support is a great way to start the day.

I have had 2 more registrations over night so that leaves us sitting on 397 cars which is just 3 short of my Birthday target.

Come on can we winkle out 3 more over the course of the day to win the coconut…….shout
