There is a car park for "normal" cars.....so yes, feel free to attend ??
I'll be slumming it in the "normal" car park then, probably with a few others smile

Mike,

Contact me nearer the time as I'm working on the possibility of a smallish associate brand area or display for all our friends
that are still interested in Astons but like yourself are having a break currently.

You never know I might be able to brain wash everyone into coming back over……..:thumb up:

Nijius,

I've missed the opportunity on purpose as its sometimes better to let the engine idle rather than constantly rev it up……..biggrin

I'm holding myself back in readiness of your official "signing on "for an event as a newbie as such you should take a lot away from including many new friends…….:thumb up:

You can of course always enrol as an official canvasser and take the mantle of encouraging as many others as you can to join in,you'd be most welcome.

Roll on Wednesday..smile

Octavarium,

Thanks for registering you'll be in for an astonishing good day out and will be made very welcome, lets hope many more newer members follow your lead and join in smile.

Cheers,

Ed.

Another great donation has been kindly forwarded for the Charity Auction at Burghley on the 3rd of July.

Mike and the team from Bamford Rose Independent Aston Martin Specialists have generously donated the following....

A 45 minute flight in an Aerobatic aircraft (Slingsby T67 Firefly)from the Wellesbourne Airfield which is operated by Take Flight Aviation.

The date is bookable directly with Takeflight by the winning bidder and is advised to be taken by the end of September 2016.

Take Flight Aviation : https://www.takeflightaviation.co.uk/slingsby.html

The Flight

Experience the thrill of taking to the skies in a high performance aerobatic aircraft after your initial briefing on arrival at the venue.

There will also be the opportunity for your family and friends to take pictures, as you are strapped into the aircraft as you get ready to go !

Your instructor will take you through everything as he takes you through a series of breathtaking manoeuvres which are guaranteed to get your pulse racing !

However, if you don't fancy the aerobatic flight the instructor can make it as gentle as you like.

Take a peep : www.youtube.com/watch?v=8QOXL2UbXXs

Thanks again to the Team at Bamford Rose Independent Aston Martin Specialists for once again supporting this Event.

Save you pennies and take a ride………...yes

You should be expecting a rush Paddy everyone wants to sparkle on the big day.

You should promote yourself with an offer especially for the Burghley weekend.

Anyway the reason for the post gentlemen is that we are currently sitting on 268 registered cars so can we push the boat out by reaching 270 plus by the weekend.

Come on I dare you…….smile

In all honesty no not really,it can be a bit political so I leave it alone.

I'm sure the network is fully aware of this Event so should they choose to mention it to their customers I say GOOD ON UM……..clap.

I would settle if a few of them were to get motivate and send over a Raffle prize to be honest as its all for charity and most dealerships will have
customers present.

So lets put it out there……..are there any dealers looking in wishing to donate a prize.

Please email: edwind.cunningham@btinternet.com

Well I'll sit back and await the rush……….rolleyes, sorry thats a bit glass half empty,I'm sure they'll step up to the plate……...thumbup

Many thanks for all the support so far.

Just giving an early post from this thread a refresh as Clive is waiting to hear from a few more of you that need to go home making plenty of noise.

This is a fine gesture on Clive's part so please if your thinking of a switch please contact Clive to get yours booked………..NOW !.

During your day at Burghley you will now be able to have a Clive Chedzey Exhaust Bypass Switch fitted to your car.

Clive has kindly donated 25 units to the cause with all the proceeds going to our Charities of the Day.

If you would like to take up Clive's most generous offer and book your appointment for Clive to visit your car whilst at Burghley please email Clive.

clive.chedzey@ntlworld.com

Clive tells me he can fit these switches in under 10 minutes so go on lets make it "Challenge Clive",the cost to have your switch fitted on the day is £80.00 and as
I mentioned previously that goes in full to charity.

Check out the units on Clives website www.cccharger.co.uk if you wish as they are extremely good units.

Thats another super donation generously made to support this Event thank you and if anyone else would like to offer anything whether it be for the Raffle or Auction I'd be pleased to hear from you…….thumbup

Come on chaps its Friday night and the weekend starts here.

We now have 307 cars registered to attend in July so whilst trying to keep the momentum going I suppose it wouldn't help any if I told you we won't be getting the Spitfires unfortunately this year..frown

Sorry and all that but I did try very hard after they proved to be so popular with everyone the last time…………frown

I filled in all the forms last September and sent them in with all the coordinates and grid references etc, even the height of the Burghley clock tower was taken into account……... frown

I've waited patiently upon the reply……..coffee but unfortunately the man from the BBMF he say no Spitfires………frown

WHAT he did say however was he'd be happy to send along the complete flight from the BBMF so we will now have the Lancaster escorted by their Hurricane and course everyones favourite the Spitfire…clap (weather and mechanical correctness of course dependent).

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-aKV6efQgPs

Well if its good enough for the Queen…………..why not us lot at Burghley.

Thought you might like the model version as well, the music stirs the blood and hopefully will encourage a few more to register if you please.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JsOi7trNWfs

Come on I'm doing my bit so lets see 320 up over the weekend please………...thumbup.

Just a quick up date.

Yesterday evening saw a very generous anonymous donation to my Virgin Money Giving Page which now just leaves us £38.26 short of 5K raised so far including the additional gift aid.

I just wanted to say thank you and cheekily ask if any one is feeling generous today to help me find that little extra to get past the next giant milestone.

Start saving your pocket money as the Auction is getting some great lots donated also……...thumbup
