As per my earlier post I really would get Paddy to do the works on it, more expensive than you are being quoted but a) the finish will be amazing where the monkeys will just go over what ever defects are present in the paint and b) crystal serum will last ages whereas the monkey stuff will last weeks.
As for the tyre and alloy insurance if you think you will need it get some quotes from the insurance companies that offer it as a product and if nothing else use them to get Grange to be competitive/sensible about their offer.

Easy. Paddy and Crystal Serum and take care when you're driving near curbs and big rocks etc. Also if you take it on Eurostar, use the high vehicle lane.

Its like the guys at Dixons know nothing about the products they sell but are experts in the 5 year guarantees.

Glass buttons: £370 + VAT
That's a good price for the glass buttons. I'm going to lean on my dealer.

Flugpatz: God, don't get me started on Dixons / Currys...I once told a sales assitant to "fk off!" after she wouldn't take no for an answer for iPad anti-virus security. On an iPad?! I promptly got removed from the store...

Zod: I've actually been given a further discount today of 15% on the price for the glass buttons I originally quoted. But there's also £195 for labour costs. Good luck!

I've realised that only two of the four glass buttons would be used: Sport and Parking Sensors. If it was an automatic then it would make sense for an additional four buttons.
You actually get 7 buttons in the full set.

What are the seven buttons and are they hard to install?

The four obvious ones you can see, together with the 2 seat tilt buttons and the one on the glovebox.

Dealer installed them so no idea if they are easy to fit or not I'm afraid.

I posted around Jan 19th and after that date you'll see a few other like minded contributors came on board....
Of course it will dpend on what style floats your boat and given the disposable you've fired at that rather gorgeous V12 Vantage you may wish to get in touch with the professionals such as Tim Layzell...
If however you're in the moodto support your local PH'er...you may hopefully find a style you like on the thread above thumbup

Did I mention your car is gorgeous? I mean Aston don't do ugly so they're all grades of loveliness but yeah, well done and congratulations on that black beauty. I might just draw one for my own collection hehe

Thanks to both of you above ^^ for the advice.

It's tempting when a dealer tries to sell you protection for the car when you yourself don't know enough about the subject. Will definitely keep my options open...

Check their prices then make the right choice......... smile

No problem. I have been with them with 4 or 5 cars now including the V12. I think they're great value.

Vicariously, by watching every single Youtube video on the V12V. And when they ran out - onto DBS videos on the grounds that it has similar running gear.

Just got an email saying handover is looking likely to be next WEDNESDAY... redface

The wheels are coming back on Friday and the badges + glass buttons arriving on Monday (if they order them today).

On the one hand we have some friends staying over with us for the weekend so don't think wifey would've liked me partaking in driving fun in all my spare time. On the other hand I still have the R8...but I want my Aston goddammit!!!
