We've just been driving for the last hour. Absolutely loving it, great soundtrack from the exhaust every time we pass any enclosed space!

Stopped off at a hotel bar somewhere near Bedford and have got lots more photos to upload to the shared album...

Haven't been past fourth gear and kept sport mode on 99% of the time... biggrin

Not as fast and grippy as the R8. But who the hell cares?! You can't wipe the grin off myself and my cousin's faces...

When I bought mine I paid for it on my debit card. Took for ages to get clearnace even though I've private banking and warned them beforehand.
On the way home I was enjoying myself so much I needed to stop to fill up.
Card declined. censored Due to spending so much in the morning laugh

Good job I had my back up credit card biggrin

Just got home! What an EPIC DRIVE. Even driving at 30mph is so much fun with the noise. It just loves to GROWL everywhere it goes. Driving fast is quite a handful - it's like holding onto a beast... biggrin

Looking forward to trying to tame it. The opposite (and more dangerous) than the R8!

Phone battery ran out hours ago because of all the photos I took. Will add some more to the album later tonight...

30 miles of fuel left from a full tank. Not bad.

Thanks for the updates, I'll look forward to seeing the next photos. When you took the fuse out was it much louder? I don't feel the need to remove mine, but I'm curious to know what it would sound like.

Basically having the fuse out means that pottering around at even 10-20mph is absolutely amazing. Just going from 1st to 2nd with your foot down makes the craziest sounds. And the sound just echoes off everything - even other cars! Everyone turns round. Do it. You won't stop smiling. biggrin

Nijius, congratulations on finally getting the "black beast" agree with all of your observations so far! That smile will take a long time to wear off if at all!

Interestingly when I got my V12 I discovered that one of the exhaust valves was broken and stuck open, at the time Grange could not get it fixed either by warranty or other means. So, I asked them to balance it out by removing the fuse which was OK until I got onto the M25 and found the drone a little annoying after a while,- great to accelerate and back off as it produced a wonderful burble on over run. Anyway cut a long story short had the fuse replaced and Reading Aston Martin managed to argue that it was covered under warranty owing to it being mechanical! So a new back box was fitted and now I use sport mode all of the time as I like the sharper throttle response and for spirited drives the sound is awesome. Plus I Can either switch back to normal or feather the throttle a bit on the motorways so it's a little less "loud" suits me!

Anyway enjoy and look forward to meeting you at Burghley - enjoyed your epic thread which I have a feeling hasn't finished yet smile

I agree with V12V man. Sometimes it's better to have it a little er quieter. Some events have noise limits and it's always handy to be in stealth mode when registering. With the option of going full mental with the push of a button.
Anyway, stop nipping out to the garage to look. It will still be there in the morning laugh
Oh, and I'm just off to watch Goldeneye on itv 4 I'm sure there's an Aston in there some place laugh
