I was offered a measly sum for my beautiful green V12 by a local dealer. I'm not sure if they were looking for a bargain or just aren't sure of the trend on values - but I politely refused. Have to say this would be a part ex value against a V12S Manual order.

Chris.
Chris, I don't think you should necessarily let that put you off, just keep taking it in to different dealers. The dealers retail prices seem to range wildly between what I paid a few months ago and last week in Edinburgh. As you say, many of them don't keep up with the trend.

Yea I'm not worried. I have an approach to car buying. I work in technology so everything becomes an RFI and RFQ wink I build a spec - send it out to the dealers as a document and wait for the responses to come in smile

I'm in absolutely no hurry to sell Green Steel - but it was really around how tempting the offer is against a new V12S Manual. I might end up driving it and hating it - let's see.

Today was the first day I drove the V12 Vantage to my office and that meant getting it up a few floors in a multi storey car park...

Amazingly, it was easier than the R8. No doubt it helps that the Vantage is smaller in both width and length. But I had better visibility over the bonnet and the steering was lighter at parking speeds. I was impressed how much space there was going around a corner and how much was left in my parking space.

The sun was out so I took some photos of the V12 side badges and the carbon fibre centre wheel caps. The black shines like a mirror in the sun...

Again, despite driving through London, it was great fun. The exhaust note keeping me company, the overrun leaving a trail behind me and the feel of the car keeping me on my toes. Driving to work on a Monday morning is gonna be so much cooler from now on... wink

If you have AM warranty, sell it privately. Or, post a couple of pictures on the forum, and maybe somebody will fall in love with it, and have to buy! Which Green is it? Hardly, Almond???

Almond. At the moment I'm not inclined to sell - really love the car too much. If I ever do I'll put a thread on here first smile

given the new DB11.
These cars are a high water mark for Aston Martin, stylistically anyway... they're going to hold their value I reckon.

Still LOVING it my friend. Off for a long drive this weekend as off to see the parents in law. Nice to see what they think of it. And as a bonus the price keeps going up! smile

So that's Birmingham this weekend and I've driven up to my parents for Mother's Day in Loughborough last weekend. Amazingly enough that Sunday I saw TWO Astons: a Vantage and a convertible DB9 I think. In Loughborough?? Maybe all three were taking our mums out for lunch? Good sons us three were... biggrin

I'm desperate to drive along with some fellow Astons. Burghley ages away. Anything else coming up soon otherwise I'm gonna create my own London and surrounding area Sunday drive +lunch event for early April.

Can't think of anything cooler than a procession of Astons driving through a sleepy village wowing the locals... biggrin

I have read your thread from start to finish and thoroughly enjoyed it.
I am seriously considering this car:

Can I ask your opinion on the price please?

There's been a sharp upward spike in prices over the last few weeks, for your reference, I paid 84.9K for an immaculate 7k mile car in the perfect colour and with all the correct options for me from an AM dealer about 5 weeks ago...
