I had a new Merc S classes a courtesy car for a few days. The interior was horrid. I really hope the binnacle screen is the only thing that carries across

You must be referring to this disjointed muddle.
Probably had ten committees on that job, and they never met together once
(and I do own a Mercedes-Benz).
My attention is being drawn to all those gaudy air vents.

This design however is not cluttered at all. It is beautifully laid out, with pure simplicity and class.

Surely the last thing that Aston needs from MB is the interior! Or exterior...

Looking at the pics on the previous page, I have to say that the interior is not promising. The TFT dashboard looks really rubbish. Hope it's all a disguise!

Please let it not be a Merc with a wig on.

yet over on the Lagonda Taraf thread people are slating the Aston interior and showing pics of ghastly Mercedes interiors as examples of how a quality inside should look.

A Lagonda Taraf thread eh.

Are these people all owners of a Taraf?
If so, I will allow them to have any opinion concerning dashboard design, and be very grateful that they have each given Aston Martin £685,000.

At this rate, the DBX will no longer be needed. - smile

Looks like the tach goes the 'wrong' way too. Pity, I really like that anti-establishmentism touch, along with the masterly ECU and button shifts. My passengers are always amazed when I point these out.

But in the DB11 I'll have no such excitements, other than to make excuses for the alien Merc propulsion unit.

Just hoping the interior is more DB10 than C class. Those pics must be basic development facades.
