My summer wheels & tyres were stolen over the weekend by some worthless piece of st. They are the original SP10 ones with black innards and diamond turned faces (as below), are in excellent condition with no damage and have part worn OEM Bridgestone tyres fitted. If anyone is offered any or sees an advert for these anywhere please let me know by PM or replying through this thread. Yours totally pissed-off, Pete.

I would imagine there's only a small market for them. If I see anything you will be the first to know Pete

If you're on twitter - put out a post and give us your handle and we can get some re-tweetage in too. Hope you get them back. Utter f**K sandwiches.

Might also be a long shot - but are these serial numbered in any way? If so, could you get the number of the serial and circulate it to dealerships etc?

At the risk of sounding pessimistic, I wonder if they've just been stolen for scrap / melt down. It's the same with cable thieves, they do it for scrap because they know they'll never sell the object in it's native form.

Chris.

Not on Twitter, too old but thanks anyway Chris. I will investigate the serial number possibility with my Dealer but remain distinctly pessimistic.

Chris.
Agreed, my local scrap metal merchant pays £10 for an alloy wheel so these r-soles will get £40 to spend down the pub.

Will keep an eye out for them, there are only a few thousands cars in the UK they will fit and I would like think even fewer owners who buy off a guy down the pub cheap when they dont know the origin....

I think it's worth contacting the dealerships anyway and warning them - just in case someone calls and tries to sell them.

I've spoken to Aston Martin bits.com and given the heads up on this, just in case they are offered them.

Sorry to hear about your loss... which was my gain as they now look wonderful on my car. Not happy with the Bridgestone tires though.

I was so sorry to read your post this morning, Pete.
There might perhaps be some hope, because of the rarity.

When in store, do you think they might have been briefly visible to anyone?
I cannot imagine the average opportunist drug addict house burglar, looking for jewellery and cash, would take a set of four wheels.

Perhaps this is a wakeup call, for us to mark our wheels with the (whatever the Police tell us to use). Some sort of marking that is only visible under special light.

Might be time to join some of the scene groups on Facebook and check out those websites.

Wheel w h o r e s etc (I've added spaces to hopefully fox the swear filter)

If they were stolen for resale value rather than scrap, I would bet on them trying to sell them on for use on another brand over the relatively small Aston community.

Thanks for all the help and support guys. I know it is a rare but not unique wheel fitment but don't know what other cars they fit. Does anyone on here know? Wheels/tyres were in storage so no damage to the car thankfully.

The 'Max Power' brigade have a big thing about putting wheels from exotic cars on to their 'rides'
You've only got to look at all the Bentley/Ferrari/Lamborghini wheels that get put on Corsas and Golfs to wonder where they come from. Various adaptors and offset wobbly bolts are used to get them on, so as already stated, my guess would be that's where they'll have gone.

I agree however I have seen a few of these out in the wild (Supermarket car parks when I am forced away from Waitrose) and you can normally tell they are fake / replica wheels. Most seem to be pinched OZ wheels with Ferrari center caps. The police would certainly get suspicious if they saw a genuine £6K set of wheels on a £2K car.

Could even be worth looking at the PH ads smile
