i've just taken delivery of a shiny Midnight Blue DB9, which is living up to every expectation i have....!

I've been doing a little exploration, whilst i am waiting for paperwork to be sent on by the dealer and have a few questions that i'm hoping you kind members might be able to help me with?

Is there a tracker fitted as standard, if so how do i enable this - check its working?
How can i identify the stereo - Linn premium or standard
I'd like to fit front parking sensors, where would be recommended to fit these - i'm afraid i don't want to pay AM prices for fitting

I'll post up some images once i have worked out how

thanks all

Congratulations on the new car, sounds nice but we require pictures!

I'm afraid I can't help with your questions but i'm sure someone else will be able to help.

call tracker if you dont have the registration card or any documentation with the car

when you press the on button on the stereo it says premium (or not)

parking sensors, any Aston specialist or dealer

Its a DB9 not a Vantage, so as the OP says a Linn. Nor sure there was more thna one system in them. Some of the DB9 owners will hopefully be along once they've had their mid morning nap wink

All correct -when you switch on the stereo, if it says LIMBIK 5.1 260W it's the premium version

Thank you for the warm welcome..!

it does appear that i have the LIMBIK 5.1 260W - also has a Parrot ASTEROID Tablet which i have been trying to work out.. seems like an android device with a few tweaks?

shamefully after driving through the wind and rain of yesterday its very dirty and needs a clean - next problem is to buy a bucket and some cleaning stuff as im not sure that i will trust the local car wash guys to not rub in some grinding paste from the roads...

Welcome to the fold and many congratulations . The FAQ at the top has a detailed cleaning guide, you obviously don't need all the products and techniques described but the two bucket cleaning with good shampoo and washing mitts is a good start. If you start to notice swirls in the paint due to dodgy washing technique it will annoy the crap out of you.

Looking lovely Rob, was going to ask which St Ives but if you were driving in the fens then I'm guessing the Cambridge one.

Will hopefully see you around as I'm only just down the road from St Ives at Swavesey, there is also a lovely black DB9 at Hilton.

Great Car! Congrats....

Remove fuse 22, wind the windows down and enjoy the (addictive) V12 sound :-)

you are correct, unfortunately not the sun kissed beach side St Ives, but the one that's known for the 7 wives (must be a fenland thing).

That's not very far at all - i am in Swavesey every monday practicing Aikido and then onto the White Horse to replenish those calories.

I have to admit that i am enjoying the sound of the V12, ive yet to remove the fuse.. however i do like noisy exhausts, just ask my Neighbours..!
