I just got a call from Grange Brentwood saying they have / gonna get a V12 Vantage in Quantum Silver with only 7k miles and 2 owners. I told them that I'd already put a deposit down on my V12V last week but if anyone's looking I'd get onto them ASAP...

Good luck! smile

There might be a new member joining us soon mblade.... smile

The 7k mileage is very tempting but it's a year older than mine at 2010 and £1k more expensive (£84.9k). Plus I've already paid a £1k deposit and don't want to mess them around and like having a Carbon Black edition.

Hopefully a fellow PHer will get this!

I sent an email to that dealer asking about any V12 around and he said they just had a "meteorite" silver coming in with already a deposit down. The other carbon black they have on the website has a deposit too.

He actually gave me a call back a around 18:30 yesterday night after 10 min I sent the email

The market for the V12V is absolutely insane. In fact it's not even a market, it's like a grey market: you have to be told personally of a potential one coming up for sale.

Here's my words of wisdom:

If you see it advertised. You're already too late.biggrin

Don't take this this too seriously but if you're in the market for a V12V manual, just leave a £1000 deposit at every main dealer until one is imminent 🤔

I'm puzzled why the dealers haven't cashed in on the limited supply story. I was expecting to see prices rising accordingly and they really haven't. Cars are still sticking around the low to mid £80's.

It is indeed Cayman-Black, hope it all checks out when I view it, is there anything I need to be especially checking on a V12?

Congratulations on getting your hands on one. Rocking horse and Poo spring to mind laughlaugh

Seeing as it will come with the Aston warranty I wouldn't worry to much about what to look for. Apart from the obviouse. Wheels chipped, paint bubbles and so on. If anything pops up just claim. I'd check the headlights though. Make sure the LEDs are working. Indicators and side lights. Mines in for a new unit under warranty as the side light LED has failed. £1200, glad I'm not paying it laugh

Kevin, you sneaky little....! biggrin

I thought I was imagining things when I wrote Quantum Silver and thought it was the Meterorite that had been posted up. Little did I know that two had come up!

My advice would be to check the condition of the leather on the seats, especially the side of the driver's seat as you're entering. There refurbishing the leather on my car.

Check the condition of the glass key as that easily gets scratched and dropped. And of course the aluminium gear knob as they told me they haven't come up with a decent solution to remove any scratches.

Finsllt the usual things such as the wheels brake conditions and tyre wear.

Enjoy seeing it! smile

thanks for the tips gentlemen, chips/cracks aside is there anything to look for on the ceramic brakes, if you ask, Ferrari will give a % wear measurement, can Aston do the same?
