That looks lovely, we need some more pics out in the wild. Congrats on your purchase!
Once I get some decent weather I will be more than happy to accommodate that request.

Still keep pinching myself, doesn't seem real biggrin

I don't know why but I keep finding myself going out to the garage just to have a look, is this normal behaviour.
Whilst I know the garage is very lowly by comparison to some of the palaces I have seen on here a gratuitous shot of the beast in its home any way.
Congrats, looks fantastic.
I do the same biggrin

Thanks Matt yours looks great too. There was a Fugplatz blue one up for sale but it went before I got to see it, looks to be cracking colour in photos.
It seems to have a bit of colour change depending on conditions, is that right or just variances on camera settings?

One thing that fascinates me is, where does all the family "junk" go from all your garages?
Mine is so full of things that can't be thrown away because ".....that will come in useful one day....", I can't get the car in at all.
We don't have the space or finances to built a bigger garage so the car sits on the driveway and shivers.

Yes JCT Leeds had one, sold v quickly tho.
The only other colour I'd of gone for is Volcano, gorgeous.

Yes it does seem to change colour a little, it's an odd one. Much more vivid in low light.
Probably just an illusion.

Congrats again, great choice!

I'm fortunate to have a big loft above the garage, I try to put as much crap as I can up there; it's a pain in arse but I like a clean space smile

Then bikes etc go in the empty bay (double garage).
That said I may move them into a smaller shed so the garage is a car only zone. Wife's not too happy about that tho!

Chris

I can't speak for the others but having just downsized from a 5 bed house with a large double garage to a 2 bed with a single garage mine is full to bursting
It is though fully shelved at the far end with all fixings, accessories and tools that come from my days as a sparkie along with all the cleaning stuff for the cars.
Spare wheels and tyres are on wheel pods above the car, stepladders and pressure washer sit along the side of the garage and loads of the bulky stuff is in the eaves above.

Bikes and gardening stuff are thankfully in a separate shed but believe me there is a lot in the garage.

I do look longingly at some of the garages that appear on here though, 2 to 3 times the size of the car with some car memorabilia on the walls and looking totally immaculate. One day!!!

Hi Paddy

Only a few miles from where we used to be, near St Ives. Definitely not a garage for you carrying out your expertise in though I'm afraid.

This is not good after owning two Astons and now into my second year of Porsche ownership I am seriously looking again at moving back.

Been looking out for a V12 Vantage convertible the last few weeks but I want the lightweight seats, as had them in the N420 and for me well worth it compared to standard seats.

Wondering if AM will do a run out on the V12S convertibles?.

Sorry Ed, failed again but as you said Burghley House Event shouldn't be pushed on people at every opportunity or they may get fed up with it all wink
As you have mentioned it now though, Mr Tremlini would you fancy a break in the UK at the beginning of July with plenty of photographic opportunities involving Aston Martins and A Stately Home thrown in.
Sounds intriguing... I have pondered a drive to the UK as I suspect it is a much more sensible (read cheaper) location to maybe get a new exhaust and power upgrade fitted to my V8V. I have a job in the Azores from the 5th of July so I would have to haul myself back to Switzerland rapidly post event. What`s this Stately manor all about then?

Incidentally, yodeling is certainly not a strength of mine Ed50, as I`m actually a kiwi, and before you ask, I avoid hakas also!

J12KJR, your V12V is a stunning colour, it just changes the car in a very positive way... very different from all the rest of our mundane greys. I worry about your tyre racks though, hope they're secure!

Be ruthless. That's how I did it, and it changed mine from a typical garage filled with essential junk to a shrine for my previous V8VR and now the DB9. Because of how it looks now I've never wanted to add anything more... the space is almost self-regulating. It's still hard work resisting the temptation of' just another' item. Though I wouldn't say no to a nice red V12V.

Mr Tremlini

Burghley House is a small pile of blocks in the east Midlands, link to website below, where Ed50 is in I believe his 3rd year of organising a get together of Aston Martin owners and their steeds.
The house offers tours and has some lovely gardens/grounds and provides a great backdrop to the gathering(ample photo opportunities for a photographer like yourself).
The aim of the day is to have a good time in the company of our fellow Aston Martin/Pistonhead reprobrates while raising money for worthwhile causes. There is a sticky at the top of the Aston Martin page here giving more details and a thread titled "A Few Cats out of the Burghley Bag" is regularly updated by Ed50.
So please have a look and if you can get over then do register and we will look forward to welcoming a Swiss registered Kiwi to the event.(Please make sure you get some good pics of my car as I never can smile )

Hi Ken

Thanks for your compliment, I love it but I may be a bit biased.

Don't worry on the wheel pods they are secured to brick work by rawlbolts and then have the added security of 25mm wide steel all round band going over the roof joists and around the tubes of the wheel pod.

I notice you are in New Zealand but Ed50 will beat me severely wink if I do not promote the Burghley event to you, you could always combine it with a holiday to sunny Britain.

Just seen your garage, to a man that has just gone from a good sized double garage to a single one that is a cruel thing to post.
It is however something that most of us wish we had, bet your 8 x 6 shed is absolutely rammed though.

That's a relief. I dented an immaculate Daimler some decades ago after I didn't secure a leaning ladder in my junk-filled garage, and have had palpitations about wall security ever since.

I used to come across a couple times a year, but not recently. Maybe because of your weather biggrin. But a Gaydon factory tour and an Aston track experience would be absolutely on my list along with Burghley.

Sorry for your loss and hope large garage fortune smiles on you again. But you have a V12V and that's all you need for a truly happy and fulfilling life smile
