You never mentioned you were getting a V12V. When did that happen ?

HAHAHA....lmao.....got to be THE best one-liner on here this year
You cheeky bunch of... And here I had plans to put up another ten threads talking about my V12V...
I went for a test drive last week, and needles to say, I'm in love with the V12Vs.
I am still a bit concerned about the all weather drive-ability, though during the test drive I had no issues with the PZero Corsa tires. But leaving in Switzerland I still would need winter tires for the snowy days.
Following AM I would need a second set of wheels with winter tires, as the tires will not fit the original V12Vs wheels. Is this really the case, or is this just marketing blah...
Also I still have a perfect set of winter tires for my R8 in the dimensions 235/35 ZR19 front and 295/30 ZR19 back.
Considering the AM V12Vs sommer tires in the dimensions 255/35 ZR19 front and 29530 ZR19 back, would the winter tires fit? The back tires are the same dimension, though there should be no issues there, but what about the front tires 235 vs 255? any help appreciated.
Regards, J

Easy to understand the love for the V12 Vantage in any form.
Various tyre manufacturers suggest max and min sizes of tyre for a given wheel width and a quick check suggests that 235 is the minimum recommended for the 9J wheel with 255 & 265 being the optimum.
In reality you would be reducing the by around 7mm although this could be increased a bit as the tyre will presumably be stretched a bit on the wheel.
You will have the age old argument that the tyres you are using aren't Aston Martin approved which could be a problem with an AM approved used car on the warranty side of things. But in reality how can a different tyre have an effect on the warranty on any component not directly affected by it which would really only be the wheel.
Hope those ramblings help a little bit and good luck with your search.

Is this from a daily driver point of view, or just a weekend in winter point of view?
It's more of a weekend in winter point of view, though I might occasionally use it to get to the ski resort (my wive does not ski and prefers to drive the Range Rover, therefore I would need to use the AM)jarodw said:

I follow in the footsteps of Nijius Maximus and interchange my Audi R8 V10 spyder with a AM V12Vs. I pulled the trigger yesterday, and should receive delivery of the V12Vs in 2 weeks time.
Saying goodbye to the R8:
Welcoming the V12Vs:
jarodw, CONGRATULATIONS! Great photos as well, of both cars, can't wait to see more when you've taken delivery. Saying goodbye to the R8:

I assume you found similar differences to myself over the two cars with the V12VS being more involving and fun to drive in the end?
Are you gonna miss the convertible though with the summer around the corner...?
Those two weeks are gonna be a long one...

f fresh snow is falling and lying on the road, you'll need chains too, as with any rwd car. For normal conditions, the winter tyres will get you there.
It is as AML is saying. You need new wheels for the winter tyres but I used my winter tyres for 4 years and they are brilliant. I lived in Switzerland last year and i would not recommend using the P Corsas during the winter months. Its not only the snow, its basically the temperature. You will not get any heat into the tyres and a cyclist on a Stromer will be quicker off the lights than you in the V12V with summer tyres. Congrats.hornbaek said:
