Seriously though, if I'd been given the opportunity to get one of the early ones, I would've put a deposit down...still can't wait to see one in person and test drive it. Hopefully at a forthcoming launch event.

Have you?? I know for £5k at the time you could've reserved one of the early ones...(lesser deposit for the later delivery ones) wink

I hope they offer it with a manual transmission as that would really suit me and tempt me to place an order. For now I'll await the next generation Vantage to replace my Vantage S.

I'm going to wait for the new Vantage as well, I am not mad keen on the photo's of the DB11, or the base price, I'm also hoping the New Vantage will be nicer looking & will hopefully be a lot cheaper than the DB11. I think the new Vantage will be launched at Geneva 2017, but I could be wrong.

Congratulations - did you have much choice on colour etc? or will the initial cars be pretty similar in spec?

It seems the first DB11s are now being produced, but put on hold for delivery.

Any ideas/facts about what is preventing them to be delivered? Any buyers here who experience the same "problem"?

A DB 11 would have been a bit out of my budget range, but you like turbos or you don't like them. As long as I have a choice I'll stay away from them. And the steering wheel is... well, it's anything but round frown

Likewise re budget & turbocharging.
Talking to a dealer last Saturday, we're unlikely to see the new Vantage until early 2018. By the time I'm ready to upgrade (in 3-4 years, but don't hold me to that), I think I'll be ready for a V12VS or a DB9.2.

The steering wheel was called the "Quartic" according to the programme "The Cars that made Britain Great" as obviously I am much too young to remember it, well almost LOL.

As we all know, Aston Martin usually have the sequence of model announcement in the spring, then customer production begins in September (after the factory holiday), or soon afterwards.

If that was the plan, and the rumour mill had been expecting a March 2017 announcement at Geneva, I wonder if there might have been a delay (perhaps the Mercedes engine won't fit).

Yes, they'll have to settle for the existing NA V12 engine instead!

Standard car sales technique isn't it? "New model sir? Nah that wont be around for ages, so why not buy the car you see in front of you today?" wink

I had the pleasure of driving a DB11 today. Fantastic to drive. Very similar to the vanquish but perhaps a bit more refineded.

The seating was a little weird. I felt like I was sitting quite high up although that could have been the arrangement.

Still not keen on the interior looks. It all looks quite messy.

DB9 with 0km are already at 20% discount to the list price in Germany, pre-negotation.

Only some "last 9 of DB9" Edition is sky-high in the price as it's supposed to be only 9 Coupes and Volantes but I don't know if 9 each for Germany or 9 per dealer or whatever...
