Ive been waiting to see the Flugplatz GT12 being a Flugplatz fan however that just doesnt work
I think when you ask Q for stripes the result is very hit and miss.
The shade of orange is wrong for the main colour and the 45' angle of orange on the side of the rear valance looks very odd.
There sre some stunning GT12's out there but this is a miss for me.

I agree - I think the stripes on this one look a lot better (I think the blue paint is Mako rather than Flugplatz however).I think when you ask Q for stripes the result is very hit and miss.

I'm not sure the horseshoe bonnet helps with those cars, in my eyes it makes that area look a bit too busy when combined with a central stripe. Having said that the flugplatz one looks great in the flesh
I agree, the Gulf livery looks great on the racing car, but the word "busy" define this scheme when applied to the road car. There are several other AM owners/collectors, according to AM Works, that share the same view in regards to the Gulf livery on the GT12. There are too many strong/contrasting colors blended together.
Frosted glass with orange accent blends much better and does hint to the Gulf livery anyway, so great choice!

Cheers for the photo - looks great, but assuming it's not Frosted Glass (given its a 2014 car) but something close to? Still gives a good impression hopefully of what it will look like, getting very excited now
Hoping to hear back in the next 2 weeks as to when the build date might be

I confirmed my build date this week as October 8th with delivery early December. Let me know when yours comes through as planning a visit to watch it being made. Your spec gets better each time I see it

Apparently, there is (or will be soon) an article on CAR Magazine on the GT8 vs. the F-Type SVR ...I saw the pictures on IG but haven't seen any link on their website, nor this month issue itself.
Anyone with more info?
EDIT: Apparently is in this month's issue http://www.carmagazine.co.uk/car-news/magazine/dig...

I've read the article, found it a bit disappointing to be honest for three reasons:
1. By splitting the article between the GT8 and the Jag-SVR you don't really find out too much about either car
2. The GT8 that Chris Chilton had was the paddle-shift one (I think the one we all saw at Gaydon). Its disappointing that he couldn't drive a car with a manual gearshift (based on my twitter conversation with him, he's disappointed about that too)
3. He only had the car for a short period post Le-Mans and it was very wet. So he wasn't really able to exploit the car perhaps as much as he could have done on those tyres

So, basically, if i am going to buy it, I won't find it as much insightful as, say, EVO's GT8 article?1. By splitting the article between the GT8 and the Jag-SVR you don't really find out too much about either car

FFM - in a word 'no'.
I subscribe to CAR (its a legacy thing) but this month bought both Octane and EVO and think I enjoyed both of those more than the former so I might switch the subscription.
I just find CAR seems to be going in a certain direction where the cars themselves take second place to industry updates and navel-gazing editorial. Doing in-depth reviews of cars seems to have fallen by the wayside (and the reviews themselves are very uninformative, they seem to spend half the allotted space producing a contrived introduction)

The Henry Catchpole review in EVO is the best one I think I've read so far, he had it in wet conditions but seems to have used that to his advantage to explore the handling balance and what the car could actually do
Yes agreed, it was a very insightful review. Also, the "space" dedicated to the 911R/GT8/HuracanRWD 's reviews was quite evenly distributed, with 10/9/8 pages respectively, if I remember correctly.Another new GT8 video review. Well really its just him taking it to 300kph on the autobahn and unfortunately it is in French, but...
