I agree, thats the beat looking one I have seen. Similar to Fords Nitrous blue, maybe without the pearlescence?
A beautiful car! Best yet.

And just for fun, here's a pic of the mighty Nitrous Blue RS. Has proven to be a fun winter car so far. smile

Great to have Dr. Palmer doing your final inspection.
Surprised that he did not notice the badly rusted bonnet badge.

Vaughtons products are normally of such superb quality. Their wonderful enamelling is to jewellery standard. After all, they have been perfecting their craftsmanship since 1819.

Not long now, just a PDI and registration!

Blue and Orange vs Purple and Silver, can't wait to do a proper photoshoot with them side-by-side.

WOW, flugplatz is really great colour, but it's even more stunning on a GT8! Epic bow

Yes, by far the nicest colour GT8 which compliments the Carbon Fibre nicely

Fantastic advert here for AM paint quality issues
Look at the guy in the background (click on the photo to enlarge the image) with a Smart Repair mobile van, looks like he is fixing paint bubbles on the Vantage door below the door mirror arms or repairing the flaking paint on the arms themselves.
Classic Vantage paint issues.

Dr Palmer please take note

Well spotted.

I see that the Smart man is wearing warm clothing.
Should paint spraying be done outside, on a cold day?

Now I regret posting that photo, I have no idea what was going on but it doesn't seem overly fair to speculate. We have no idea what's being done or the nature of it.

The Flugplatz blue one is absolutely stunning. Simple colour schemes appear to work well with the GT8.

When a dealer takes are car in p/x that has any kind of paint issues what do you think happens:-

A) Full body shop treatment
B) Smart repair

Customer expectations probably differ, between a £100,000 car and everyday low-cost transport.

As you appear to indicate, perhaps even in the premium market, it is still the cheapest preparation, just to make the car look good enough to sell.

Hence not one main dealer or specialist retailer has the 2 bucket wash and sheepskin mitts as standard. This in itself is outrageous and why I have to put an A4 piece of paper with DO NOT WASH on the dash top and passenger seat and even then that's been ignored and my detail ruined in one wash.

Saw my car at the dealer today, delivery end next week all being well. Liking the Cinnabar orange in the flesh which is a relief.
Question about the manual fixed seat. Has anyone successfully lowered the seat ? The default from the factory appears to be set at the higher of ithe possible heights.
I will be removing the aero extensions on the front splitter and ke pin them for track days only.
Will post a picture when I collect the car.
