Yes, but only on GT8/12 as I guess they think it looks more raw and track car like without it, but the V12VS grille is a cost option for those who want to add it back in. (Note it is still free on V12VS).Edited by AdamV12V on Tuesday 21st February 05:59

It is clearly advertised at way over list price.
I was told by JTC that the car is owned by them and the owner sold it to them as he wanted to make a quick profit!
I have a feeling I know who's this was, and he made about £40k out of it... he also has another one coming so they cannot be that bothered about flipping cars! http://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/a...

Not read the whole thread obviously, but I assume it's the NA 4.7ltr V8, has anyone else expressed disappointment it only makes 440hp, or am I alone in that. Shirley they could have at least got 100hp/ltr out of it, particularly so, given the asking price....
Edited to add, just checked other marques in this segment and 113hp/ltr is normal and 130/ltr is exceptional. The 918 makes 600hp from its NA 4.6 V8 before you add the electric motors.....

no one debated lenghtly on your point in the prior 60 pages because..well, it's not the relevant point for the GT8.Edited to add, just checked other marques in this segment and 113hp/ltr is normal and 130/ltr is exceptional. It's all about trade-offs (and understanding them, as a buyer):
You want exclusivity (you buy an Aston, so this is quite key) > you limit supply (150 is very tiny) > this limits the R&D Budget > which you concentrate on the area you aim to improve to differentiate vs standard model (GT8 is about dynamics GT12: about power).
Also, could have they done a little bit more on the engine front (to provide context, the GTE Race car is around 500hp, perhaps less, if I am not mistaken)? Probably yes, but, as discussed already, there is little economic sense for them (next gen V8 will come from AMG, why rush it increasing risk on the reliability front?, etc)
To make a long story (of "if, could, bla bla") short, you can be as analytical as much as you want but at the end of the day, there are lots of enthusiast out there (including us here on this post) who don't buy purely on numbers. Look at both journalist reviews and secondary market-values for proofs.
These people buy cars with soul that deliver on a pure driving experience and in drama-terms. We also buy Aston's exclusivity and its racing heritage.
(Note: many of us don't like virtual/semi-electric cars that shifts for you or with Rear wheels moving through an electric steering....up until we can, we will still go for the Real ones)
I bet you will really struggle to find another car that delivers what the GT8 does in the current market at this price point from a drive-, exclusivity-, old-school-feel-, cost of ownership(incl, maintenance)-point of view.
That's my take
