Any other owners off to the AM VMax200 thing at Bruntingthorpe on the 23rd?
My invitation has seemingly got lost in the post (or 'ether' given most owners got their's by email) wink

Edited to add:

Along with:

1. My dealer
2. My invitation to view the new Vantage
3. My invitation to buy a Volante Zagato (seemingly being offered to random strangers with no history of buying even a single Aston Martin ahead of me)
4. My desire to buy another car from Aston Martin
5. My sense of humour

VMax200 is for owners of cars capable of at least 200mph - so the GT8 wouldn't qualify, would it? confused

Ive not done Vmaxx for a while now, but if I understand correctly, you can ask to be on the vmax mailing list and it just happens to be the case that Aston turn up there with some of their cars - I don't think Aston invite people or that you can attend via Aston

meanwhile if you do want to attend, the price went from a few hundred pounds up to best part of 1k when vmax was taken over by autovivendi, but then dropped down a lot a year or two later to nearer the old price

Jonby - Aston do work in conjunction with VMAX. They invited all the GT12 owners to attend and are now inviting all the GT8 owners (with some exceptions) to attend

I received an email from an astonmartin.com email about this.

Waiting to hear more, in particular price. Any more than £500 which I suspect it will be, I'd rather put that money towards fuel to get to the Autobahn!

There is an Aston Martin track day later this month at Silverstone which is of far greater interest, but I'm unsure whether this is a dealer thing or an AML thing.

Didn't you get the email about the 'exclusive' Snetterton event taking place next week? £5,500!

Chaps, I alerted Craig from Vmax to this thread. He is at the Frankfurt show at the mo but if you apply through the Vmax200 website he will look out for your applications and be in touch.

Here: http://www.vmax200.com/apply/

Edit: Also, from Craig:

"Would you mind just adding that AML had mailed all GT8 owners but understand that not all received the email and we have spaces reserved for them"

just to get other GT8 owners on the same page and (reasonable notice!), we are trying to put together few GT8s together on the 21st of October (Saturday)!

Proposed schedule (we are open to see other options):

Format: AM Drive / meet-up / lunch / PM Drive-back
Where: Goodwood (there is a Track day for charity on that day)

FYI, that's a Saywell day so there will be lots to look at when not doing AM stuff.

Hi FIL
Unless it has special noise allowances forget Goodwood you might as well take your own black flag! There is a 105db in October so we might have a chance then!

Rob you are not alone not getting any GT8 invites so don't take it personally biggrin
I am sure other things are on the way idea
