Re centre-lock, I think the majority of us is on the same line..this option is simply far to expensive to be ticked
I can't imagine centre lock will have a noticeable benefit to driving the car and there is, all other things being equal, the relative inconvenience on wheel/tyre changing with centre locks

Interestingly, they are a big part of the look on 911 GT3s but I don't recall them being used on the Ferrari special, etc ?

I do think they fit in very well indeed with the look of GT8/12 - if I was ordering, I'm not sure which of the 2 but I'd definitely consider one of the centre locks as a result. Not my money of course and my reasons for wanting them would be primarily aesthetic personal preferences. If you don't get centre locks though, if it really did affect resale badly, could you pay to have them added pre resale and separately sell the wheels that came with the car ?

Ah, didn't know! Don't tell me they charged GT12 owners for the grill too! I thought it would have been standard in gloss black and exposed CF as option.

Well, it looks really good even without the grille!

Yes, or alternatively, leave it to the perspective buyer to do? Should no centre-lock was chosen originally, the 2nd owner will have the flexibility to choose from A) to live without and not pay the centre-lock premium or B) get AM to retro-fit

Also, as a 2nd owner, would you recognise the £11k premium for the car with centre-lock (supposing you have 2 almost identical cars to choose from)? The more I think at it, the less I am convinced to spend 11k on that (given is also black-on-black you will notice it less)

The second owners will be paying a lot more for the options than the first. smile

I hope nobody is buying the car out of investment perspective.

Not sure if the GT8 will follow suit a la GT12.
Dont get me wrong I love the GT8, but in comparison to GT12 there have already been more track focused V8 vantages (N400 or N430)
Yes this one is lighter and more trick and hardcore. But the V12V has not had any other track themed appearance.
Also the power output increase is just minimal compared to the GT12.

Im not saying it will not increase in price, just dont expect GT12 behaviour....
Love this thread and the GT8 and looking forward seeing you guys spanking them on a track and putting miles on them smile

mmm, to be honest, the N430 was the first car I considered when upgrading from my 4.7 (back last October). When I looked at it in depth and discussed with my dealer, we end up concluding it was effectively a cosmetic-improved version of the V8S, thus for the 75-80k at that time, we decided to focus on the V12V (which would have provided much better residuals, aside of the driving experience).
But yes, it is true the V8S is an improved car compared to the V8. Remains purely a road-car. Not sure about N430/v8s track capability, though

A quick request - do any of you GT8 customers have a picture of a real Lowline Centre Console that could you share? I noticed from the GT8 video that the show car seemed to have the old/optional Highline so was hoping they may have shown customers something a real mock up / another car with it, beyond just that brochure picture?

I'm debating staying with the Lowline on my V12VS order to save the £695 cost of the Highline but can't decide and just thought that you GT8 chaps may have the answer!

No further pics have been offered however the highline goes with paddles and the low line with a Gear stick.

Did you guys got the final option list and prices?
Just want to know if we are all pigeons on the continent or if this is just me.

Exemple?
Paint Halo Pack: 18131 Euro
Pack Aero : 14503 Euro
Titanium Exhaust: 10151 Euro
Pack Accent CF: 9860 Euro
7 Satin Black Magnesium wheel + Centerlock: 26112 Euro.

Guys, is AM serious? You can get a brand new small car for any of these options!

Comparing the pictures on the dealer bullettin, the low-line console suits better the GT8. Cleaner/more simple look..and you use the 700quid to fund another option

Hi Inspirine, in the UK pricing is as follows:

Paint Halo Pack: 18131 Euro (£12,500)
Pack Aero : 14503 Euro (£10,000)
Titanium Exhaust: 10151 Euro (£7,000)
Pack Accent CF: 9860 Euro (£6,800)
7 Satin Black Magnesium wheel + Centerlock: 26112 Euro (£18,000)

So thats 78,577 EUR vs £54,300 on average. Which corresponds to an exchange rate of 1.44 vs the actual exchange rate of 1.29

So, just a 16% premium for yourselves smile

I think the greatest consideration here is that the low-line console will make the manual gear lever considerably more comfortable to operate for those who are taller.

Yeah, seen that already thanks - I was hoping somebody may have taken a picture of the real thing with their phone.

Having had it on my spec sheet for a couple of weeks, I am now starting to agree that there are better things to spend £700 on. When dealing with Q it's quickly becomes apparent that one needs to focus on what matters and what doesn't!

The real thing (on the GT8) won't be seen around for a bit more, sadly (until the press start the test-drive rounds). On the 13th I will be back at AM, if the manual press car is ready (and in the factory), I am going (to ask permission) to take some pics on the inside

When you are there, can you ask about the roll cage?
Can't see it in the option list.
Can't see harness nor fire extinguisher as well.
Would be good to have clarity on those track focus options for those that intend to track the car.

Sure, I believe the roll cage is a dealer-fit option so maybe your dealer knows about it? Will ask to see if they have a design at the factory and let you know
Haven't seen both harness or fire extinguisher in the options too, though
